Seto Japanese Restaurant, Camden Town I’d like to share our experience of dining at this friendly Japanese restaurant in North London. On Wednesday 10th September 2025, we booked a table at Seto, a place well known within the Japanese community. It was highly recommended to us by our friend Lisa, who is of Japanese origin. I ordered a miso soup, and it was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was full, with many people coming in to try and find a table, so I’d definitely recommend booking in advance. It’s clearly very popular, especially amongst the Japanese community. The interior is simple and perhaps a little tired, in need of an update, but the food is amazing. If you’re looking for authentic Japanese cuisine, it is absolutely worth the journey. For us, travelling all the way from South London, it was a real discovery, the staff were very friendly and the food was outstanding.

I've been wanting to come here for some time as many ramen lovers always say this joint known for shoyu and miso ramen is worth a visit. They are not wrong. This is simplicity of Japanese food and exceptionally tasty. Arriving at opening time, there was already people arriving too. This is a post-work and regular eats place for people. Part of this reason is very much the costs which are exceptionally reasonable. Miso ramen and a beer for £15.00. Service was polite and careful and understated which I liked. Miso ramen is all I had and it was done as one would expect with much flavour. Again, mo frills with just fresh bean sprouts l, a few green beans and some well made chasu pork. Somewhere I would come if I was in a hurry, and wanted to support something independent, while not costing too much, then Seto is a good shout. Thanks very much.

In the words of Francesco, this ramen is the BEST in London. The ramen is good and is made fresh for you on the spot. Jasmine tea has a great herbaceous taste and one of the best teas I have ever sipped, sampled, enjoyed 😉 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 also it's very conviently located in camden. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Everything is unprocessed. The patrons here are often Japanese, which is always a good sign that this restaurant is an authentic taste of Japan in the heart of London. The whole experience was most excellent, and this is the 5th time of visiting, and we will continue to come. There is a good choice for vegans, vegetable ramen you can see in the attached photo. Thank you Seto!!!

I pass by this place many times a week on my way to work or just into the high street. My girlfriend and I have a tradition of eating japanese food after watching a movie so this place provided an excellent place to fufill that when we found Inamo full and Sushi Salsa too far to walk

If you come here, you must try the Calpis (Rather unfortunate pronounciation there but it is what it is). I found it tasted like Calpol the kids medicine so not for me but still very glad I tried it.

Lovely staff, couple of young lads - one of them pointed out we'd ordered starter Miso Soup but that our mains came with Miso so he saved us some money there which was very honest and helpful.

Our gyoza was good, we were given chopsticks, and we had lovely Chuca Dons though I think the rice needed to be a bit stickier cause it was a little tricky for us to pick up

Overall a lovely quiet spot. Just...

I recently discovered this fabulous restaurant and I am in love. Food is so so good. My personal belief is that if a chef can make a fantastic meal just from vegetables, then that chef is a real chef. So I ordered a vegetarian ramen and yasai gyoza. Let me tell you something, I have been to many Japanese restaurants and this is the best of them all, especially taking the price into consideration. Another thing, service was top notch. Very polite and everyone spoke Japanese. This may come as a surprise but I struggle to find Japanese restaurants that have Japanese people working in them. So this was a huge plus for me and I managed to strike a conversation with the staff and fellow customers which was delightful. I felt like I was back in Japan again which is always a good thing. In conclusion, fantastic food, great location, and brilliant service. HIGHLY...
