I found Mr Cod after arriving in Bethnal Green for the night after spending nearly 10 hours in the car. It was the closest place to the hotel.
Initially i was unsure due to the fact that the other takeaway which shares the shop front was closed and also the place was empty on a Friday night despite the Street outside being mobbed.
I ventured in and studied the menu. While i was waiting a couple of people came in and ordered who were obviously regulars and were chatting away with the guy. This put my initial fears of an empty shop to rest. I got my meal and made my way back to the hotel to eat.
The meal was tasty and just what i needed at the end of a long day. All in all an absolute bargain and I will be more than happy to return, Scottish notes and all if i find myself back in...
Read moreThis place used to be one of the best before! Now its gone down the drain bruv. The food is less tasty and their prices are like theyre some gourmet restaurant. Their chicken burgers used to be thick and juicy, and now its really thin, literally tastes like cardboard. Dont get me started on their chips... the only reason I gave two stars is because their wings are bangin though still. But bossman still charges for extra sauce as well.. i think a rethink of their business is in order...

Please change this and you will get better reviews and more customers, trust me.
And finally the price is more expensive compared to other shops.
And they give less chips so please please treat customers with a bit...
