I ordered a takeaway for the first time as a treat, what a waste of time and money. I spent just over £50.00 and I have to say I’m so disappointed I very rarely leave poor reviews but this was food wasn’t it I’m afraid. The fried fish was small but nice it wasn’t worth £17 y’all couldn’t even top it off with some fried peppers onions or sauce at least it literally came as it was in an insulated food bag. The fried rice had no flavour it could have just been boiled rice. I think you guys just added curried powder and some mixed vegetables and called it a day. The mixed grill was horrid the meats were chewy the portion was small despite it being advertised as a mixed grill. It cost £19.00 for two wings, two meats and a bit of chicken. I would have expected a bigger portion for two people to share in those square large containers at the very least. Again it lacked flavour. The jollof rice guys please whoever cooked it yesterday tell them not to do that again. The rice was flavourless and undercooked. The apple crumble and custard was lovely I’m going to guess it was shop bought. Overall I am very disappointed in my food yesterday. If I could request a refund I would have because the food was below good standards. I will not be ordering again which is a shame but I hope...
Read moreI have been a takeaway customer with Jerk N Jollof since (shortly after) they opened in Wallington. It was my daughter's 17th birthday so we decided to eat in, at her request, for the first time. Cons: Not everyone wants to listen to explicit lyrics whilst dining. Definitely not child friendly. Should consider a different genre of music for certain days of the week, or certain times of the day, so customers can choose when to dine. Alternatively, offer a choice to the customers in situ. Half of a green banana on a plate with one dumpling and a small piece of yam is in my opinion, an incomplete meal. I certainly will not be choosing hard food again. Pros: The resident chef as excellent culinary skills: the food tastes good. I prefer pepper without seed with my fish, but the flavour was so good that I will simply request that seeds be omitted when I next order. The staff are well mannered; the decor is suitably atmospheric; the ceiling speakers sound good enough and the pricing is reasonable.
I however, will remain a takeaway customer, with the exception of hard food, unless the music...
Read moreThis place is absolutely incredible! I come here at least three times a month, and now my family loves it too. The food offers a wonderful mix of unique cultural flavors, which is such a refreshing change from the usual Chinese cuisine. As someone who loves traveling and experiencing different cultures, this spot is ideal for me. I recently had a romantic meal with my wife, and it was just perfect—followed by a great time with my children. The dishes are always perfectly seasoned, and I can honestly say you won’t be disappointed. As an Englishman who grew up by the beaches, I never expected to find such a delightful change of pace, but it’s quickly become a regular favorite. The staff are so friendly and polite, making every visit a pleasure. I had the mixed grill with curry mutton, mac and cheese, rice, and egusi—wow, just wow! Every bite was packed with...
