KFC Putney - High Street — Restaurant in London

This was supposed to be my epic cheat day in the middle of the week - had a tough day at work and loads of physicall workout throughout the day.

I have to say my attempt to enjoy my dinner has totally failed, thanks to KFC Putney. Avoid this speicific place at all cost, I'm not kidding! (Well, if you are heavily intoxicated and are British - then maybe you can skip my review, no offense).

I've ordered 2 x 2 chicken pieces, 1 mashed potato and 1 caleslaw. Chicken - 2 pieces were missing, the remianing chicken was drenched in oil and looked like it was microwaved on a second day after being cooked the day before.

Potato mash - this looked and smelled (pardon my french) like someone literally went to the toilet to take a d**mp and sent it. Moreover, the Deliveroo menu states it's made of real potatos. Well, if that's made of real potatoes - I'm Elvis Presley, alive and well, writing this review.

Coleslaw - I've decided not to risk it.

Everything ended up going to trash/bin.

Rang up and spoke to the branch manager and here's the funy part:

Initially he apoligised (not sincere apology), then instead of listening to my point, he started explaining how KFC chicken is cooked in oil, that it's not baked, etc. and how temperature (while it's being delivered) affects the chicken consistency (he must be Grodon Ramsay relative).

As this is not my first time eating KFC food, I obviously wished him a "good night", and, since I was desperate for my first KFC, which I haven't had in almost a year, I've placed another order from a differnet KFC location. The difference was night and day - normal colour, crust, not oily/dripping in oil - normal KFC styled chicken!

Bottom line: avoid KFC Putney regardless of what your dietary habits are.

DO NOT GO INTO STORE

These guys prioritise deliver overy everything, it's insane. I went into store with a friend and all we ordered were two wraps of the day. That's it.

Immediately, it went from preparing to collection on the screen so i ask where it is, they say "its being prepared". Ok so why is it up on collect then?

Anyways, move on 5 minutes, no less than 8 delivery drivers have come and gone with buckets of food. No wraps.

I ask where is it again, they say "this person is preparing on the way"

20 minutes has passed no food, alomst 20 delivery drivers have come and gone. No. Wrap. Still

Bear in mind, there were at least 10 members of staff working and these were THE WRAPS OF THE DAY. They should have them ready to go when ordered.

I ask again, and again, the answer is this guy is making your wraps. Staff are walking around, chatting, one bloke has literally been walking around for 10 minutes doing nothing.

Eventually 25 minutes later we get our two wraps.

If this was a restaurant, of course, it's not an issue but it's called fast food for a reason and they just do not care about customers in store. They will prioritise delivery over absolutely everything.

The store had about 10 people just standing in it waiting for food whilst drivers where coming and going like the sun and moon.

I'm sure delivery is fine just dont go into store ever. You're wasting your own time. If you want a quick wrap go to MCD's...

Please don’t order from this restaurant unless you want your goods to be packaged like a baby has done it. When i saw the state of my food which by the way ONLY could have been done by the kfc workers and not my delivery driver, I immediately rang the restaurant around 8 times before somebody answered. When someone did pick up, I was greeted by an Indian sounding man who didn’t take my issue seriously and began laughing presumably in front of other co workers. He told me that he couldn’t help me because the shop was closing despite it being 21:20 and the store shuts at around midnight? He then hung up on me mid conversation. These people honestly have no interest in their job, any time I come across generally any kfc workers they are all the same exactly like this, absolutely no work ethic it’s sad. After I had my meal, my boyfriend called the shop back pretending to be a customer to see if the shop was actually closing and it wasn’t, one of the workers who answered him said they are fine.

Disgusting behaviour honestly these people need to get out of the customer...
