Soul Flame Meze&Mangal — Restaurant in London

I can understand the negative reviews, sometimes it can be timing, sometimes it can the be the particular chef that serves you.

Before I put my review I decided it was best to go there at least 5 times, to get a better idea of the consistency. My 5 star rating confirms precisely that.

Usually at some places such as Maroush they pile you with food and I did not find that the case here. In fact it may feel short but considering I sometimes went with a starter followed by a main I found myself full and couldn't eat anymore. For those who go only for a mains might find they are not full but then again its all about the taste and quality more than stuffing your mouth all the time.

The last time I went I went for two lots of Chicken Shish that came with chips and bread, that on its own was a little too much. If you know mediterranean type food normally comes with lots of bread, that on its own is too much (also came with salad). As the waitress knew I ask for two lots of Chicken Shish she in fact gave me a small discount which was nice.

Do bear in mind that everytime I have gone it has been at times when it was less busy and I can tell the waiters/waitresses are still getting used to it because some of them are new and it will take a little time for them to get up to speed so have patience. In summary the staff have been very good and pleasant, never found myself uncomfortable at any time. The food quality is excellent, the chicken along with the few vegetables are cooked well and just about right along with the chips presented on the same plate. They also provide sauces, goes down well with yogurt.

My experience next time may change so who knows but so far so good,...

The reviews here all talk about the big portions, maybe that’s true if you eat in - but that makes me even more pissed off at how they rip you off if you order takeaway. I ordered a deliveroo; the prawn starter had so few prawns it was basically vegan, which was ironic because the kebab had none of the promised veg (or much meat, to be honest). It wasn’t like I hadn’t given up on that January diet weeks ago. The meal was so small I called the restaurant, who suggested the deliveroo driver had eaten it. They’d sat and picked out each prawn in the 4m drive to my house...right... It’s not every day that a restaurant rounds off ripping you off by treating you like a complete and utter moron. THE VERY GENUINE & BEST. I loved the Turkish Pizza (Lamachun) and Kofte was juicy and tasty too. Service with ADAB (RESPECT) 7 * (stars) just for Lamachun alone as having eaten for many years in Lefke North Cyprus; this is the best and nearest in Putney High Street. Iran (yogurt) drink was A1. Completed with Turkish Tea and buklawa. Prices are reasonable given the location. Will go once a month at least on a regular basis. Glad i don't have to go all the way to Hounslow High Street and Manor House Green Lanes , North London Near Seven Sisters Road. NOW i can enjoy JUST AS BEST LOCALLY.
