I concur with a very recent review that this place is disgusting and it doesn’t seem like they have done anything to rectify since. If I were a manager of a food outlet I would take great pride in its appearance and above all hygiene & cleanliness. This example of a ‘Leon’ is the complete opposite of that. The decor is uninviting, dark and drab. The tables are filthy, you can feel the stickiness, there’s food everywhere on the tables and on the floor - it’s understaffed and those that were there cared very little. There was a pigeon wandering around the store because he knows that this place is rich with delights for him. We were hungry and this was the closest place, otherwise we would have walked. I ordered an over priced Korean Chicken wrap and there was quite possibly a raw or very undercooked piece of chicken in the wrap, I ate fast; so it was too late to check… safe to say two days later I feel semi human again after over 24 hours of detail I would not want to share with you on here. Everyone had something different, they are all OK thankfully. Leon Kingston have now been reported to environmental health. I have eaten in Leon restaurants before, this experience means I will never eat in one again, and my friends will not either. A little bit of care might mean you retain your customers. Steer well clear. If I could give a minus rating I would.
I cannot reply to review responses, so I’m updating my original review, it’s acutely clear you or your staff have not acted on a previous review, and there is no way I can prove that my food poisoning was caused by your branch after my body has purged every possible thing that was inside of it in every way you care to imagine. Read moreFirst visit to Leon for food today with my partner. I can honestly say I've never had such poor quality food and cold too. The waffle fries were floppy and stone cold. Took them back and they were replaced with similar if a little hotter. My Caesar burger was cold and looked very pink inside. Took that back and it was replaced with a hot burger that was so full off sauce the bun fell apart in pieces so couldn't eat it. I asked for a refund which I'm waiting for now. Not going to return to Leon ever. Sorry I'm very disappointed as I had thought Leon had a good reputation. Seems I was wrong 😞
Please don't trivialise my review. We both know the manager will do nothing about this. I could clearly see a clear plastic container full of pre-cooked waffle fries behind the counter. I'm assuming these are just warmed up rather than fresh cooked? My refund was supposed to be for the meal I paid for as it was ruined entirely. The Manager has only refunded the burger! Read moreThe disabled toilet doesn’t lock. I went in it because the other toilets are out of order. I pushed the lock up and an employee opened the door with me in it. He’s a man and I’m a woman. Luckily I was dressed. He didn’t apologise and treated me like I’m nuisance with distain when I complained. I then found my phone was missing and it was because he pushed my coat onto the floor (making it dirty) when he opened the door and my phone fell out of the pocket. I complained again and he just looked at me like I’m a problem. I noticed when I went back for my phone, the door can’t be opened from the outside without a key as there’s no handle. So it relies on people not being able to pull the door open rather than a working lock. That means the male employee opened the door with the key around his neck without knocking and treated me with utter contempt when I complained, even when I told him he embarrassed me.
