I understand that mcdonalds is trying to be back on business and supply costumers and now is a challenging time. I've been with my 8 months pregnant wife, who ask a McDonalds meal as she was craving. At the moment we stepped in, I went to the hand sanitizer which is just in front of main entrance, because orders are been made in the touch screen and I don't want be the one responsible of possibly spreading the virus around or getting it, the moment that Ciara, mcdonalds staff stopped me, in a very rude approach saying that sanitizers are only to delivery people. I've tried to explain to her that, as a costumer, we are bring money to the store and the company should look after us also. She said that costumers should bring their own sanitizers. Ridiculous. I told her that all other places, open after lockdown are displaying sanitizers to public use. I've been on IKEA yesterday, and there is plaint of sanitizers around, and in the self check out, staff clean everything between costumers. 5 stars to IKEA. She, Ciara, were on the queue organizing it and she didn't clean up the screen between costumers and do not allowed costumers to use hand sanitizer available on site. Well, mcdonalds is helping to spread the virus because of a nonsense of a staff. She may getting guidance from the management, what shows a terribly wrong behaviour that can be happening in every single open mcdonalds spreading the virus all around. What a terribly disappointment and surprise. The grand finale, in the end my wife ask to use the toilet, and Ciara went crazy saying if she allows, McDonald would be close forever. No humanity or empathy at all. People, when dealing with people can not be machines or robot with ready answers for everything, every singular person is a individual and the behaviour over kilburn mcdonalds is far from acceptable. Seriously, I don't understand why drivers are allowed inside the store anyway. They should come in collect whatever delivery bag is and leave the premises quickly to avoid spreading the virus. They don't touch nothing, they don't talk and why the sanitizer for them to use only? And costumers, the ones who pay for everything over there are denied the use of a hand sanitizer for God sake!!!They are not even mcdonalds staff. We left without the purchase, disappointed and certain to never comeback in a mcdonalds store again. Ps. Not the first time that I feel that delivery drivers are treat with better manner than costumers. Even they getting almost £5 for every single delivery. They just stay sitting in the tables awaiting orders on the app, reducing number of available seats to dinning in costumers (before covid19 era). Will report it to brent Concil that mcdonalds kilburn is spreading virus and not taking measures to...
Read moreI really dislike giving negative reviews in fact I think this is the first negative I have ever given. This McDonald's is right in the heart of Kilburn at the corner of Kilburn High Road and Victoria Road. It is a medium sized outlet and always busy. I have been in a few times and usually I found it to be very well organized when it comes to getting the food out but not so well organized on other things. If you go in and it is just the normal, order food, eat food and leave scenario then they can't be faulted you're in and out very quickly. However on my most recent visit I found out that if they need to move away from their normal working routine they are lost. My complaint is pretty trivial and perhaps the one star rating is a bit harsh but I was annoyed. I ordered some food and a white tea and they came quickly but when I had found somewhere to sit I realised that they hadn't given me any milk for the tea or a serviette. OK it happens when people are busy so that didn't annoy me but going back and trying to get the attention of the staff that had given me the food was annoying. Suddenly I was invisible all they wanted to do call out the numbers of the orders and dish out the meals. I ended up having to join the queue to order to ask for milk. Of course by the time I was eventually sorted out and back to the table the food was cold. Have you noticed that cold McDonald's buns taste like cardboard when they have been heated and then gone cold? At least I learnt that if you don't want cold food you need to check that you have everything before leaving the counter. With this life lesson under my belt I will in all likelihood go back again into this branch in the future. Let's hope that before my next visit they have had a...
Read moreAfter the refurbishment its become worse. The service is abysmal, you'll be lucky to see them call out an order once every 1 minutes. You can see the kitchen stacked with food prepared, but nothing is being sent out. Seems like they're ignoring the customers inside in favour of deliveries. This is the biggest problem here, no food is coming out!
Now that they've changed the place, the place to wait for your order has become a lot more cramped, that combined with the slow service makes it full of people standing and waiting, packed like sardines. What makes it even worse is that they put the bin right at the end of it, so now you have people having to squeeze past everyone just to throw something away.
They've put a wall between the register and kitchen, and it is left unmanned. So you can be waiting for someone to take your order and no one can see you since they've blocked off the view to it from the kitchen, so you can just be waiting for ages until someone notices you to take your order, so you have to call out for them.
They've removed the large menu display from behind the counter, so now you cant even see what you can order and eat. This really inconveniences you trying to order with cash.
The new seating is less friendly to alone customers, everywhere now is grouped up so if you want to eat by yourself you cant get a seat alone or part of a massive table for multiple. You not have to take up a space meant for 2 or 4 instead, which is just inconvenient.
It feels like the place resigned more for appearances rather than the better experience for the customers, it's made coming there a lot more annoying...
