This unit is a 2 bedder with 1 bathroom located along Judd St & Tavistock junction. The location is superb. Within 5 minutes walk to nearby Brunswick Centre. There are also a few 24 hours provision shops that sell basic necessities at a higher price. There are also restaurants around. The bldg was built in 1976. The unit is installed with laminated wooden boards. We would say the unit provides minimum essentials of what you need. The 2-in-1 washer cum dryer is gd. Fridge is a stand alone 2 doors fridge. There is a small microwave above the fridge. Please note that there are very few wall sockets especially in the bedroom. Both table lamps in the master bedroom looks like Ikea, but both could not work or no socket around for you to plug into. Only in living room, there are multiple extension chords connected, but we are concern if there would be electrical power loading that might lead to fire. The blanket in master bedroom is like super single size. 2 avg size adults sharing the Queen bed would hv their feet exposed & covered up to chest level only. The bathroom is super tiny. There is barely space for 1 person to stand outside the bath tub. When you take shower, you observe the ventilation fan vents & you would observe that it is filled with thick piles of dust as if it has never been cleaned/vacuumed for ages! Most cabinets or drawers are flimsy particle boards from Ikea & looked old. In fact, the shoe racks facing main door if scattered with electrical items like bulbs, extension chords that not sure if it is working. The cabinet for jackets at the foyer is filled with used paint barrels, brushes, etc. More a store with junks & not usable. There is a porter at the apt’s lobby during 8am to 8pm. They are friendly. The notice board actually displayed a notice by the building mgr that short stay like airBnb or Booking.com is not allowed by the building mgmt &...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed here for 5 nights at the start of June and were more then happy with our stay. As we both had previously lived in London for many years and knew the area, |we weren’t surprised by aspects of the neighbourhood that perhaps some other visitors may have been! Also we were aware that this was a cheaper price compared to a lot of other places for the area that this wasn’t going to be a 5 star Hilton experience. So yes, the apartment isn’t sparkling and is slightly tired and worn, there were a few problems - light out in the kitchen, not enough clothes hangers and a chair was very wobbly and actually collapsed once I sat on it (I’m only a size 12!) but we informed the front desk and they sorted it all out for us quickly. In fact the various staff members we saw were all cheery and helpful.||The main things for me during a stay is a good bed and a good shower and both of these were a tick. The bed is big and very comfortable and the shower was strong and had plenty of hot water. The rooms were a good size - bedroom was a large with lots of storage and room to move around. The bathroom was also a good size and the living room/kitchen area was ok - yes the sofas and floor are a little worn and uncomfortable but as I wasn’t spending much time relaxing there I wasn’t too worried.||Location is good too - a bus stop just outside with lots of buses to Central London (Oxford Street, Hyde Park) is a 15min journey. The tube is indeed a 15 min walk but the overground Kilburn High Street is only a 3 min walk and that gets you to a lot of places. ||Overall I think you get what you pay for here. For the location its priced pretty much correctly. If you want 5 star then you have to pay more and believe it or not, from someone who knows although its not the nicest and safest of London’s boroughs - Kilburn is not as bad as it...
Read moreThe size of the apartment are great. However, there were strange smell throughout the corridor and inside the apartment. The sofa seems it hasn't been cleaned for a while, many dusts were there. We felt itchy after sitting on the sofa. We asked the receptionist for changing room and the lady told us there were no room left and promised let us change the next day. However, on the next day, she said there were no empty room and asked us to wait till the next day again. One of us felt so unwell and uncomfortable inside the apartment, therefore, we asked for refund and decided to leave. Right after that, she changed her mind by showing us other available rooms. This has really disappointed us as it meant she was lying in the first place, saying there were no empty rooms available (although that my due to her colleagues asked her to do so as she kept help us contacting them). ||Another problem was that the light in the living room and kitchen area were so dim (quite different from the photo) which lead us not able to work. ||We couldn’t stay there longer due to the room condition didn’t make us feel comfortable and finally checked out on the 3rd day (only stayed there for 2 nights although we have booked 7 nights). Before leaving, the receptionist said we could send an email to the front office about the refund despite they have requested for us already. We did what he said, but there was no response for the whole week. Then, we sent again and also to another email address about finance from their official page. Sadly, there are still no reply until now(nearly a month). We were very disappointed about our stay and...
