DONT BUY THE SIM CARD HERE! I purchased one for £10 after speaking to the staff who told me that was all I needed for calls, text AND data in all of the European countries I was going to over the next month while working as a tour guide. I knew what I needed, so I asked lots of questions and he assured me of everything.
Upon using the SIM card on the first day of my tour I quickly realised I didn’t have data or the ability to call and text - I had a passenger in an emergent situation in France and they were unable to contact me thanks to the faulty SIM and the fact I’d been given misinformation from the staff here. Turns out, I had to spend another £10 to make it work in Europe, which was absolutely not what the person I spoke to had said. The data didn’t work so I had to buy some elsewhere. So the price has already more than doubled, what was meant to be £10 had become £20.
I had told the person I bought it from I only wanted 30 days as I leave Europe after that, and he said it’s not a plan and doesn’t renew so I wouldn’t have to worry about being charged or having to cancel - 30 days later, I no longer need the sim, but the card was charged another £10. This was for an auto renew that was added without me agreeing to it - it’s just hidden in the T&Cs so it saves your card details without making it obvious or optional. So yet another £10 spent. The price tripled from what I was told it would be, I was lied to, and I still had to buy another data esim on top of this one as data wasn’t included. The product is totally misrepresented and staff are either not trained or keen to lie to secure a sale. I reached out to customer service and they didn’t...
Read moreI've been getting my eyebrows done here for ages. I always get a threading and tinting. Today I went to the checkout as usual, the man serving had an attitude from the get go. I requested the eyebrow services and the man abruptly replied "she's on her break" - I could see that, I'm not blind. I was willing to wait half an hour.
He then asked if I had had them done before - at that point he was just being difficult. I am a regular at the store and have racked up a good amount of points on my Superdrug card. When he was conviced I'm not a newbie, he then requested a form of ID. I was obviously taken back as I had been getting my eyebrows done in this store for a while now, and not once had I been asked for ID. I explained to him that I was not under the impression I needed ID for getting my eyebrows done, and therefore I don't carry it around. I offered to show him my UNIDAYS card that proved I was in college but he just repeated that he needed a form of ID.
At this point I was frustrated as it seems as if he has gone out of his way to be difficult towards me. (Telling me the lady was absent, asking if it was my first time, THEN asking for ID) This cashier that I have never seen before then requested for me to leave the store. What! I probably know the store better than he does.
I'm incredibly frustrated as Superdrug refuse to give me my student discount if I don't show them my UNIDAYS ID, but are very quick to refuse to acknowledge it when it's an...
Read moreI generally find myself pretty much well with Superdrug, except for: the constant “do you need any help” when I was just passing by the makeup section while on the phone, or as soon as I stop to browse they immediately approach me, if I need help I’ll call you! 🫠 or at the tills to be pushed to buy stuff even if I politely said many times “no thanks”. Last time a man wanted me to buy face masks, I said no, then he started to being insistent. I was ready to pay, my Superdrug card ready to be scanned and after my second no he was “BUT these masks are so popular!!” so what? You can’t force customers to buy! I told him I don’t use them and he basically laughed at me.
Edit: the same happened to another lady reading the reviews, so it’s definitely the same man! Management teach him some manners in how to approach women politely!
The previous time a lady wanted me to buy baby wipes and I said just “no thanks.” Again, she was so persistent that I said aloud “I don’t have kids, why should I buy them?” only at that point she gave up and let me pay. Stop...
