Overall good dining experience, with potential to be great in the future (we already voiced the constructive feedback to the staff) We got a bunch of food to share from the small plates, starters, mains. The spicy feta dip was super good, very tasty and got a nice kick to it; on the other side, the hummus was very watery and lacked a lot of flavour, which was somehow attempted to mask by a lot of oil on top (and the dish used to plate it wasn’t the best choice — it was dripping oil at the bottom all over the table) The raw tuna and sea bream were good and the portions were very decent, but again, drenched in oils, which seemed to cover the freshness and depth of flavour of the fish. The orange in the sea bream was a nice touch. The best dish was the deconstructed spanakopita, had the nice crunch, umami flavours, just perfect. The briam was again fully covered in oil and overcooked, therefore too crispy, but it was okay. I expected the prawns saganaki to stand out, however, they lacked freshness and the sauce was too watery and salty. The most incredible plate was the pistachio cake, which came as a deconstructed version, but it was super flavourful, not too sweet but a very balanced yet indulgent choice. I loved the bee pollen at the bottom, it was the perfect addition to make this dessert outstanding. The location is also pretty, well looked after, clean and with a luxurious touch to it, but I highly recommend more attention to the food detail! It would also be great to include more options for wine by the glass, as they have quite a good sommelier and many options to pick from, it’s a shame that you are restricted to just a few options, which are good, but...
Read moreHad the absolute pleasure of dining at @myrtoslondon , and it was nothing short of exceptional. Tucked away in London, this elegant Greek restaurant by Michelin-starred chef Asimakis Chaniotis offers a beautifully refined take on Hellenic cuisine. The space is serene and sophisticated, with that rare kind of understated luxury that makes you feel both special and at ease. Whole Lobster Giouvetsi🦞 Pork Tomahawk🐖 Bluefin tuna🐟 Pita + Tirokafteri🥯
Honestly, the portions took us by surprise (in the best way). 🥰Not your typical fine-dining “barely-there” plates - each dish was generous, well-composed, and clearly designed for sharing. 🦞The lobster was absolutely stunning - rich, comforting, and beautifully cooked. The bluefin tuna was delicate and elegant, while the pork tomahawk had great texture, though I found the flavor really came alive mostly when paired with the sauce.
Looking back, two mains were definitely more than enough - I’d recommend going for one main and exploring more of the smaller plates or sides. 🤭The space was really full though — tables were packed pretty close together, and we had waiters constantly brushing past us. It made the whole dinner feel a bit more rushed and tight than I expected for such an...
Read moreMyrtos by Asimakis: Seriously, You HAVE to Go Here! Alright, so I just had one of those meals that you can't stop thinking about, and I had to tell you about it. We hit up Myrto by Asimakis, and honestly, we practically ate our way through the whole menu! And guess what? Everything was just ridiculously fresh – like, "you can taste the sunshine" fresh. But it's not just fresh; the flavors are so unique, you'll be doing a double-take with every bite. There's clearly some real thought behind every dish, a sort of food philosophy, and they use seriously top-notch ingredients. You can just tell they care. While you should absolutely dive in and pick whatever catches your eye, here are a few things that totally blew me away and you have to try: Pink Bream: So light and perfectly served, it almost melts in your mouth. Squid Skewer: Seriously good. Tender, with that perfect charred taste. Lamb Skewer: Oh my god, the lamb! So juicy and flavorful, just perfect. Taramosalata: Forget any other taramosalata you've had. This one is next level – creamy, dreamy, and totally addictive, we had 2! Charred Wild Greens: Okay, these might sound simple, but they're unreal. Smoky and fresh lemony, a fantastic side. Honestly, Myrtos by Asimakis isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience. You walk out feeling genuinely happy and already planning your next visit. Go check it out, you won't regret it!
