Friendly staff, really good portions, food seemed fresh. Great little bonus that they serve a really good ouzo brand (Babatzim). Prices were pretty standard for Camden.
Sadly, this didn't taste like greek food at all. We ordered the spanakopitakia (small spinach pies in fylo pastry) which tasted deep fried, and if they were not, there was an unnecessary amount of oil in them- they're supposed to be baked.
Then we had the pork gyros, which was soggy and didn't particularly feel like it came from the actual spitroast we get gyros from- felt like the meat was done in a pan. The spices added to the meat were underwhelming as well.
The biggest disappointment of all though was their tzatziki, which tasted like the store bought one you get from Sainsbury's. No texture, zero garlic, no dill, the yoghurt used was "greek style" rather than actual greek yoghurt. No taste either. I could have dipped the fries in plain yoghurt and it would have tasted the same.
I didn't try their classic greek dishes like moussaka and pastitsio, but I get the sense that if something as simple as tzatziki wasn't homemade (or at least properly made), those would be quite disappointing as well....
Read moreI love Camden it's one of the palaces i visit every year lots of memories there so lunch is always a must.
This was my first visit at Myths & Flames and it was a pleasant one.
We almost walked past the restaurant so they definitely need to put some lights etc outside to get peoples attention because once inside you won't be disappointed.
We ordered the wraps as we didn't want anything to big to eat and they were lovely and at a reasonable price.
There was a woman and her son also having lunch and their food looked amazing 😋
The guy who served us was really nice very friendly.
The restaurant itself is very nice they have an upstairs part which looked really nice and some seating downstairs. The toilets i thought were lovely apart from the toilet seat in the ladies which I'm sorry guys it needs replacing. The place is clean which is a BIG TICK and nicely done with Greek Music playing in the background... tbh it felt like we were on Holiday 👍🌞 so we will definitely be travelling back to have a meal with our daughter very soon.
Thank you Myths and Flames for another memorable visit to Camden We wish all the best with your...
Read moreI absolutely loved this place called Myths and Flames in Camden. They serve incredible Greek food, and everything I tried was a delight. I started with some authentic Greek meatballs in a rich, flavorful gravy that I couldn’t get enough of—honestly, probably my favorite dish of the night. After that, I enjoyed baked feta, tender lamb chops, and a massive grill platter. Each bite was delicious and packed with flavor. To top it all off, I finished with a sweet, perfectly layered baklava that hit the spot.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was so warm and inviting, and the service was amazing—super attentive and friendly. The portion sizes were huge, giving you so much value for your money, and really showcasing the generous spirit of Greek cuisine. I can't wait to go back to Myths and Flames. If you're in Camden and love Greek food, you...
