Nando's Farringdon — Restaurant in London

The staff here are extremely unfriendly & non-welcoming. We decided to go for Nando's lunch during uni break & we were eligible for a student discount if we scanned the QR code, we did so & it didn't work for all 4 of us even after refreshing it multiple times. When we asked a member of staff they acted like they were annoyed by our presence, then another member of staff came from behind the kitchen (she stopped cooking) so she could intervene & discuss us with the colleague who was taking our order & in quite hostile demeanour as if she was personally upset, so we opted to just pay the regular amount. Then when I tried to use my Nando's card that didn't work either. We waited for our food which came out quite promptly, but 2 of our party had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for their food even though we ordered at the same time, when I called the manager over (didn't know it was the manager at the time, Rupert is his name) to ask if their food was ready he cut me off, walked past us then presented them with their food. I wanted to complain at the first instance before our food came out but I didn't want any potential of our food being tampered with, so I waited until we were about to leave. I asked to speak to the manager, to voice our concerns & he was very short with me & unapologetic, at one point he even shrugged his shoulders. We all just looked in shock at how disgraceful his customer service skills were & then proceeded to leave. I now have a greater understanding of why the staff are the way they are.... they're a reflection of their manager! It's safe to say, I'll never be returning to that branch. Nando’s Farringdon is easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had, and it’s left me seriously reconsidering ever going to a Nando’s again. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was unwelcoming. The staff were shockingly rude—particularly to my partner, who was spoken to with unnecessary attitude for no apparent reason. It instantly put a damper on our visit and made us feel completely uncomfortable.

The food was another massive letdown. For the price we paid, we expected at least a half-decent meal, but what we got was barely warm and tasted like it had been sitting out—or worse, reheated in a microwave. It lacked any of the fresh, flame-grilled quality that Nando’s usually advertises. You’d expect better from a place that prides itself on its peri-peri chicken.

The state of the restaurant itself was disgusting. Tables were sticky, the floors were grimy, and the air was filled with the sounds and smells of people coughing, farting, and chewing loudly. It was enough to make me feel physically sick. Cleanliness clearly isn’t a priority here, and basic hygiene standards seem to be completely ignored.

To top it all off, the toilets were out of order. Only the disabled toilet was available, and it looked more like a neglected squat than a functioning facility. It was filthy, smelled horrendous, and was clearly not being maintained. This was just the final straw in an already awful experience.

Honestly, this visit has put me off Nando’s as a whole. If this is how they run one of their locations, I can’t trust the brand anymore. Save your money, your appetite, and your dignity—go literally anywhere else.

I have always thought that Nandos Farringdon is the worst in Uk but tonight was completely a disaster . I went with my friend asked for a table for 2 and the girl said it might take up to 20 minutes for a table , fair enough because was a long queue, than another one comes said I am gonna give you a table in 2 minutes and she didnt got back to us . We ended up waiting until the girl that we talked before gave us a table . The waitresses were running on the floor trying to do everything they could because obviously they were short in staff we noticed all the staff were overwhelmed. But than we had to wait +30 minutes for our food which I think is ridiculous for Nandos . I ended up asking the waitress that gave us the table and she managed to bring our food so quick . On this disaster dinner that curly girl managed to make our experience a bit better God bless her but anyway I will neveeer go back to that nandos !!!!The food was disgusting, seemed like it was cooked 3 days before . Boycot Nandos...
