O'Neill's Beckenham — Restaurant in London

We come here every Sunday to watch F1 race and every time there the same staff member makes problems for us. A middle aged woman with black hair (always on Sunday afternoon shift). Either she doesn't want to put the sound on, or she cuts the program short because someone else what's to watch football or rugby (despite multiple screens in the pub where few things can be watched at the same time) or she switches on music because some customer doesn't want to listen to the commentary. Today she made us move to a different table and left the sound deliberately on low volume on one of smaller screens. She didn't even ask, only said "Other customer doesn't want to listen to F1, you will have it on a small screen" This is a sports pub, there is a section for customers who are not interested in sports and you advertise the F1 screening every week! We are a couple of customers in our 30s,always having lunch and a few drinks while watching F1. So what is the actual problem here? She is allowed to pick and choose herself what is being screened or pick and choose which customer is "more valuable"? My partner just got a response on his reviews that there is a football game at the same time. Just got turned on at 47th minute of that particular game (strange!) and nobody is watching it! The attitude and customers service of that woman towards us...

I would really like to praise the manager of the beckenham oneils his name is Charlie and I could not thank him enough for the effort he put in tonight to make sure I was safe there was some people in oneils that made the atmosphere uneasy I put my drink down and see a man pop up next to it so was to scared to drink my drink just in case it had been spiked I came to Charlie and told him my concerns he told me not to drink anymore just in case replaced my drink and had the bouncers keep and eye and he himself kept checking in there needs to be more Charlie’s in this world because if it wasn’t for him I would of gone home worried I had been spiked he made me feel at ease and would recommended Charlie to anyone thank you Charlie for making my night enjoyable again thank you from the bottom of my heart there needs to be more people like you that...
