Friendly, fresh and hot chocolate was amazing. Came here for lunch after going on tour of Highgate cemetery. My wife and I were freezing the server (who I think was one of owners) gave us cups of hot water just to warm our hands. I had the Ecuadorian hot chocolate which cost a bit extra but was like drinking pure chocolate. Very indulgent. Food was simple but delicious. Cosy, clean modern atmosphere. I would thoroughly recommend the oak tree.

The place and the staff were very nice and I liked it because it opened very early. We ordered 2 lattes with oat milk and they were not the best. I would have liked them to be a little creamier and have more of a coffee taste (from my point of view, there was too much milk). Overall, it was a nice experience, if you don't mind your coffee to be milky.

What a gem of a café! I stumbled across it while trying to find shelter from the noisy road as I was on a conference call.

The gentleman welcomed me in and was very polite. I ordered a flat white coffee and an organic cinnamon and raisins pastry and sat down at a table by the window (all tables are by the full glass front anyway !).

The coffee was lovely and served at just the right temperature. The pastry was warm and a perfect reward for having put up with the cutting cold outside!!

I only had one issue and that is I couldn't use my phone to make calls as the reception is very poor due to the surrounding buildings. The owner did offer me free WiFi though.

Overall a lovely small family run café and I hope...

This is one of our go-to cafes in the neighbourhood. It's a friendly, independent family-run local business where you are always greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome! We love it here and are very grateful to have found this little gem in our area. The hot chocolate is delicious and I really enjoy their Crepes and smoothies too, while my husband is a big fan of the coffee. But most of all we like the cosy, homely atmosphere and speaking to the lovely family that runs the cafe. Would...
