Opa! Greek Bakery & Patisserie — Restaurant in London

This is a difficult review to write. I’ve been enjoying the delights of Opa since they opened as I live round the corner. Their baked goods are incredible. So when we realised that all the siblings had thought the other sibling had sorted my mothers 80th birthday cake - I went to Opa to ask if they could do me a cake for sat pick up - I ordered on Thursday.

When I went to pick up, the cake was squashed on the top. Like really squashed - we couldn’t have served the cake as it. We had 20 people over for the party, and the cake just looked dreadful. When I checked the cake at the shop, the staff though apologetic, offered no solutions, no support, no help, no money back. I had no time to sort another cake so I just took it - and the staff had the nerve to charge me additional cost for a spinach pie. I was on the way to Cambridge to deliver the cake for the party.

I’ve attached a picture of the cake and then a picture of the cake - I picked the garden flowers to cover the mistake. Maybe it looks better now - who knows….

Either way I paid £40 for a cake and just really upset with them. I had nothing but the highest recommendations but I wouldn’t recommend them...

This is my favorite to-go pastry shop near my place. It's not because there aren't better pastry shops but for the kind of taste buds I have, Opa! ticks more boxes for me.

Right from their pies to sandwiches, Opa! does a good job in having a great variety and great taste. Their ham and cheese pie with sauce filling is one of the best ham and cheese pastry I had. But what I love the most is their Bougatsa. Their savory feta is great but the traditional custard version gave me pure shot of happiness. I forgot to take pictures unfortunately as I cleaned off both the Bougatsa in one day.

Their sandwiches are pretty good too and the portion size is right for a good lunch. The flavors are just right and doesn't feel too greasy or salty.

I will be visiting here regularly from now on whenever I am in the area. They got a lot of other stuff to try too such as their bagel, baklava, eclairs etc. I might add more pictures at...

I stop every day on my way to work to grab something to eat and every morning it's the same chaotic organisation. Nobody knows when and how to order. People who already ordered their coffee are waiting for it in the same line people are waiting to order. I usually order a sausage roll and no drink so my transaction from order to payment should be very quick. This morning after waiting for several minutes, it was what I thought will be my turn to order but the lady behind the counter decided to take the order from someone who literally just stepped in the shop. It's a shame to offer such a poor service, the food good value...
