My friends and I chose this restaurant specifically because I have multiple food allergies and it’s hard to find places to eat. This place had a menu that was clearly labelled with allergens and it stated they could make things gluten free. I ordered something that on the menu was labelled that it had no allergens. I double checked with the waiter (thank god I checked) because the menu was inaccurate. The food contained all the allergens I was avoiding. This is incredibly irresponsible and dangerous. What if I had been deathly allergic and had trusted the menu? Also the waiter said they were unable to make things gluten free (on the menu it said they could make those specific dishes that I wanted to order gluten free) and she wasn’t super nice about it either. She eventually went to the back to ask and came back and said they ran out of gluten free ingredients for today (it was lunchtime on a Sunday and they had just opened).
If you have allergies, do not go here because the menu is completely wrong and things are incorrectly labelled. (Which again, I believe is illegal).
The area was very cute tho and so was the vibe. I could only order one lunch order off the menu which was annoying because we could’ve gone to another place that would’ve actually had food...
Read moreThis place is an absolute vibe. From the pink floral decor lining the patio to the glass tea sets, to the artisan bakery feel and the pop music ambiance, this is a family operation that is excellent at the craft cafe experience that is highly instagrammable. But what I was most impressed by was the quality of the food and drinks. There is a unique real-food focus in the tea lattes and sauces, among I'm sure the entire menu. For example, there is a beet root based tea latte that features real, high quality food ingredients that I believe are so beneficial to my health in addition to being sooo good. Be sure to try one of the dishes with the beet root sauce as well.
Finally if you're a remote worker, they have one of the best set-ups in the beautiful Notting Hill area, and as a traveler I found that not every place has good or even available wifi. They also give chocolates to go which I thought was an excellent touch - they have considered the entire experience with good value for price. It feels like dining with friends and royals at the same time.
I can't wait to come back when I'm back in town - I would stay in Notting Hill just to be close to Pastada. This is my go-to...
Read moreThis is such a cozy cafe. As other reviewers have said, the service is so friendly and warm and the food and coffee are delicious! It is very small inside with about 8 tables, and there more tables outside - this would not be a good spot for more than a group of 4 or for a family with small children.
We had an espresso, a cappuccino, and two bowls of porridge on a cold and damp morning. The coffee was great and the porridge was a good portion with lots of berries and nuts on top- not too sweet, which I appreciate - and cooked perfectly.
The ATMOSPHERE, gosh this is something that I don't think about much when I go places but this Cafe is so dang cute and there has been thought and care put into everything. The decor is so cute, all of the plates and cups and silverware all have a theme, the music is fun, and it all combines together to just feel happy and cozy and uplifting which is something we all could use more of.
If I lived in this part of London I'd be...
