We booked a table at this restaurant because at weekends kids eat free if you download a voucher from their website. Unfortunately, the website wasn’t working and we couldn’t get the code. We still went to the restaurant and asked for help, but the waitress (with a tattoo on her neck) immediately interrupted me saying that if the website didn’t work, there was nothing she could do. I found this very strange – they advertise an offer, but when the website fails, there’s no support for customers. I asked if the manager could help, but the waitress insisted it was “pointless” because without the exact code the discount couldn’t be applied. Having worked in hospitality management for 10 years, I know very well that managers can override discounts. When I insisted to see the manager, the waitress came back (without the manager) and told me the code had to be requested 24 hours in advance. I asked where this was written in the terms and conditions – no answer. Eventually, the manager did come, and she was extremely kind, professional, and immediately solved the issue, confirming that the code should have been received and not to worry. Unfortunately, during our meal the waitress never once checked back on us, she was unfriendly, and chewed gum with her mouth open while taking orders and serving tables – very unprofessional. Thanks to the manager’s courtesy everything was resolved, but I don’t understand why people with no passion for customer service are working in restaurants. In the end, the bill clearly showed “kids eat free” and the discount was applied ( without the code). We still paid £25 service charge for the rest of the team that worked hard, not for her, If we had stopped at her words, we would have left...
Read moreWe came in for my husbands birthday as a table for 2 and were really looking forward to trying something new. The lady with long black hair in a pontytail served us and we were very disappointed with her service. After we ordered the rodizio grill, she just said okay and walked away leaving us to figure out how the concept works which was extremely unprofessional considering this was our first time trying this. She then came to the table and noticed that we had some drinks with us that we brought when we were walking around exploring london for the first time and was really rude about it and her tone and attitude when telling us that we can't drink the drinks in the restaurant was very insulting and then we weren't offered drinks so we just asked for tap water. Not once did the lady come over to ask us how the food was or if we would like anything else such as drinks but she did ask every other table except us, instead she saw that we had our coasters on red and assumed that after not even half an hour we were done so she took the plates away and then we had to tell her we're not done. Due to a very disappointing first time experience at Preto Queensway, we wont be returning again and i wouldn't recommend as most of the meats were flavourless or extremely salty. We chose not to pay for the service charge as we weren't happy with the service and the lady gave attitude again when we said we arent paying for the discretionary service charge, she then bluntly put the receipt on the table after we paid and walked away with no communication at all and no eye contact. Considering what we paid we expected the basic level of customer service but unfortunately we were met with bad attitude and very...
Read moreEven before we had sat down they were trying to take a drinks order even though the place was quiet. The concept of all you can eat is fine but the value is for a tourist trap experience. The meat was dry and overdone and the buffet selection was terrible. You can have all you can eat buffet for £25 with no meat or for £30 can have unlimited meat luring you into spending only an extra £5. Well the salad buffet is really limited and seems low quality... The selection of "mixed cheeses" is no selection at all, it's just one type of cheddar. Only one member of staff had a smile on their face whilst serving and when my friend gave feedback to the manager that the meat was almost too dry to be edible then the response was that they should have asked for the meat to be cooked differently. This prompted me to decide between two and one stars as one star as really there was no one that was taking any accountability for the poor experience. Slightly bettered by a 15% discount that was added to our bill (after the 12.5% service charge had been added) we felt ripped off and just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. There are many good restaurants in the area but this isn't one of them. If you are looking for a similar experience then I would suggest a place called Tauro (I'm not affiliated in any way). At Tauro, which is a 20 minute bus journey from here, the selection of buffet is much better and fresher and the meat is far finer. Don't waste your time. You'll spend around £40 a head and quite honestly we both decided we would of had at least the same satisfaction from...
