I went to your Bella Italia (W2 3RR) on Friday the 15th. I think it was the manager, who we met by the entrance. As usual, I assumed company policy was ‘to wait to be seated. The lady came and pointed out an empty seat. But I always feel comfortable sitting next to a door. So I insisted on sitting closer to the door, but instead, her relay was, ‘ as you can see, the table isn’t clean’ then she pointed to our seat from where she was standing. A few minutes later, the same lady came to take our order with a kid’s drawing paper, and she asked if we were ready to order. When I told her we were still deciding, her reply was, ‘ you will need to make the order quick’ she said to my son he can’t start drawings unless we make our order. A few minutes later, a gentleman came asking if we were ready to order. As I thought the same lady was going to come back to take our order, I asked if it was him who would take our order. His reply was, ‘ that’s why I am here, isn’t ’? And laughed, As if I asked a stupid question. I felt as If I wasn’t allowed to be at that restaurant. The condescending reply’s I kept getting made me feel like leaving the restaurant at some point. The other thing that was very disturbing was the lady assuming she was the manager, was at some point sitting in front of us staring at me. I am shocked and disappointed at the service I received. A family member who moved to that area recently thought ‘Bella Italia’ was the best pizza on that street. Obviously, after facing such traumatising experience, I don’t think I will be visiting any of your restaurants in...
Read moreWent in this evening (Sunday 15th Oct) for my kids 12th birthday dinner after being at Harry Potter Studios.
I had booked the table weeks ago after much research. Even dropped in yesterday evening to confirm if the reservation was on their system as I had no confirmation. I also wanted to see if they put a candle or something in the dessert since it’s their birthday and I was told “I don’t know but ask the manager tomorrow when you come in” which defeated the purpose of asking ahead of time without my kids seeing. Anyway all I can say is they need additional staff. Our server was a nice lady who took our order (3 course set menu) but either she forgot to put in my starter or the kitchen forgot to make it. I brought it to her attention and I got it along with my main after the other 4 in the group had finished theirs. I wasn’t impressed.
The next issue was my sons dessert was taken before he had finished it and the final straw the promoted this review was the presumption of adding an optional 12.5% service charge to the bill. If I was on my own I would have challenged the service charge but it was my kids birthday so we paid it and left.
We won’t be back but if you decide to go i would suggest lowering your...
Read moreThe waiter was very friendly and it was great to see that they offer gluten free options and regard cases of incompatibility. But the food was terrible: it was the second worst pizza in my life. The pizza tastes like you bought the cheapest frozen margherita pizza in the cheapest supermarket and added some more cheese (the wrong one) and a few other toppings you ordered. Furthermore, I'm very sure they don't even have a pizza oven and this just comes out of a normal baking oven. It's by the way not just like this beacuse I had the gluten free pizza – my girlfriend had a normal one and it was absolutetly the same. See the photos of other people and if you know what a good pizza looks and taste like, and you'll see what I mean. Every pizza you buy in a supermarket, that costs a bit more than the cheapest option, will taste better than here. I don't have the slightest idea, why this restaurant exists several times in London and got quite good reviews. And to my surprise, they charge 12% for service without pointing it out (or at least I didn't notice in the...
