oh dear this is another bad review Mr Rhodes. I went there at lunchtime today 13 Oct 2012. My friend was buying lunch to take home to friends. 4 sandwiches and four cakes. I bought a savoury Muffin.

The service was, to say the least, so so and disorganised. When asking for sandwiches by name we were asked to point at them - not easy and surely not necessary if the staff know the product range. There also seemed to be a comprehension problem - of customers by the staff and fundamentally in the manner in which the service is 'organised'. When it comes to payment there is further confusion.

So as to the product - i bought a savoury muffin. not good. more than half the muffin was stuck on the paper cup it was cooked in and the texture was more like a cake crumbly and not bound together at all. impossible to eat without a plate and a table for that matter. Definitely not good for take away.

this should work, and in fact i wish it well but people were leaving because they were not, despite there being 4 people behind the counter, getting served...

Second visit After review, I heard back from their head office. They take feedback very seriously. Glad to see they are determined for best customer experience. They were generous for offering me a gift voucher. I visited again today and tried their Cheese &Tomato pizza slice, Veggie sausage roll and black coffee. I have to say that I was impressed by the quality. The pizza slice was a thick square slice with a crispy and soft crust šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹. The tomatoes were juicy and simply enhances the flavour in each bite.

Veggie susage roll was delicious too. It was a patty filled with mushrrom, cheese and onion. I really liked the taste.

Black coffee was spot on!

I am glad they reached out and I visited again. This going to be my regular bakery to go.

First visit: I had high expectations with this bakery but they let me down. I tried Hot chocolate, Almond crossiant and Butter Crossiant. Only hot chocolate was worth the money. Almond Crossiant had stale Almonds with stale/bitter taste. It was horrible. Butter Crossiant was not fresh. It was not soft and...

Lots of lovely baked goods. They specialise in sourdough bread. There's all sorts of loaves though, as well as some baguettes and buns. Lots of rich pastries and cakes. They sell fancy sandwiches too. There's coffee, ice cream and they showcase products from local/small speciality shops- e.g. honey, chocolate etc.

It's not the cheapest be warned. It is an artisan bakery after all. Prices probably aren't dissimilar to Gail's nearby, but this is an independent business and that's a chain.

The staff are generally really nice. The majority are young people (usually students) who are happy to help and usually with a smile on their faces. Some of the staff are less friendly though.

It's nice that the business does not just throw away their leftover products at the end of the day as they have signed up to Olio. Sometimes there's a lot of food that would go to waste due to bad weather, but they are doing their bit to prevent food being thrown away.

No seating, so it's...

Visited this bakery for few times the first while I was visiting Greenwich and I really like it. Staff was really nice and friendly. Tried few bread, cakes and pastries and found the sweet options better than the bread and savoury options. Their marble cake is really good and the portion size is generous, the chocolate and pistachio babka was good as well. Had the vegetable pizza and it tasted good but the dough was quite thick. For bread, I tried the tomato focaccia which was good but not similar to normal focaccia, baguette which was good, Sicilian olive sourdough which was my least favourite as I found it very dry, white sourdough which was okay but there is better ones in London and the session roll which I like the most and actually was the one that had my attention and make me enter the shop for the first time. I will go back there when I’m in Greenwich to try more options.

Good bakery, large selection of good. We went later in the morning so missed all the best stuff but the remaining items were still brilliant. We tried the harissa, avocado and egg bagel as well as the mushroom and cheese croissant. Both gave rich flavours accompanied with excellent baked goods. If you are going I would recommend going earlier as the bread was a bit dry from sitting out. But fortunately this did not take away from the balanced flavours and complementary textures. The harissa paste gave a rich and vibrant flavour which contrasted to the creamy avocado and soft egg. I was also a fan of the large selection sauces and honeys available. Many complex and interesting flavours were available including raspberry scented honeys. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good spot
