Pho City — Restaurant in London

Food arrived over an hour late and was freezing cold. Soft shell crab was poor, the pho was bland and I wouldn't have fed the £18 king prawn to my cat.. Rang to complain about the quality and the woman on the phone (who was pleasant at least) blamed the deliveroo driver saying that he must have done some other drop offs first. This didn't seem right though as he had not even picked up our order when we FIRST called to ask where our food was (this was an hour into our wait). During this call, the woman said that the driver was NOW picking up our food which we received fifteen minutes later. So either the driver stopped via Antartica on the way to ours or it had been sitting on the counter for a good while waiting to be picked up. Either way it is not excusable and the fact that neither them nor deliveryoo will take responsibility or offer any compensation means we won't use either...

Came here due to the excellent reviews on Google, however was very disappointed by our experience. The fried spring rolls were cold in the middle, suggesting that it was taken out of a frozen packet and had not been cooked through. My water glass had a pretty obvious lipstick stain on it, I was then offered a new glass. Then we had the bun sa and pho, which were rather underwhelming. We had to ask for spoons. The bun sa looked like it had a mix of old cabbage and beansprouts, with no obvious sauce - was rather bland. I then went to the bathroom and realised there was no light switch anywhere, then I asked the waiter - who then switched on the power for the bathroom lights from the mains switchboard. I frequently visit this restaurant, and it has quickly become one of my favorites! Every time, I order the Bún Chả Hà Nội and the Special Fried Rice, and both are consistently delicious. The flavors in the Bún Chả are so authentic, with perfectly grilled pork, fresh herbs, and a savory dipping sauce that brings everything together. The Special Fried Rice is a fantastic dish, filled with a great variety of meats and vegetables, cooked just right, and always flavorful.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. It’s the kind of place where you feel right at home, whether you’re dining in or getting takeaway. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Vietnamese food or is looking to try...
