Our room was extremely dirty. Upon arrival we were waiting in reception for 20 minutes as there was nobody there and no bell to ring. This was very difficult with a 7 month old baby. A man arrived and gave us our room key and was then was insisting on us providing him with our passport number which had never been asked of us before by a hotel. We ended up not giving it and paying and then going into the room. The room hadn’t been hoovered. There was hairs in the bed and papers on the floor from a previous guest. It was extremely dusty to the point where the dust was visible everywhere. We complained to the one staff that the room was very dusty and the guy from reception came into our room and advised he would clean it up now and then provide us with a new room the next day. He came back in the room whilst we were sitting there and wiped the surfaces down with baby wipes. Not even anti bacterial wipes. He then preceded to pour anti bacterial hand gel on the surfaces and then wipe them with tissue. All whilst being in the room with us. The next day came and nobody spoke to us about changing rooms at all. The guy from reception in the morning had no idea what was happening and couldn’t answer any...
Read moreTiny room with one single and one double bed. Immaculate housekeeping! Beds were SO comfortable, bedding and comforter was SO comfortable, same as the bed itself. Modern shower with rain shower shower head option. Tiny bathroom. They would only give us one key card, even though there were 3 of us. One keyboard needs to stay in the slot near the door to keep the lights on, so if you stay together but are going your separate ways, all buy one person will have to rely on front desk letting you into your room and getting the lights on for you. There is NO lift (elevator), so be prepared if you have mobility issues or heavy bags. Thre is No fridge or microwave, but there is a kettle and coffee/tea cups with instant coffee . There are no dresser drawers but there is a small closet with limited hangers. Otherwise, there is only one tiny short hook to hang dry your towels on. We got new towels every day, since we had no place to hang them to dry (for 3 ppl).
That being said, the beds and bedding were SOOO comfy, and the housekeeping SOOO good that I'd recommend this...

There were always lots of bags stored right at the bottom of the only narrow staircase up to the rooms, just past the small reception (the 'secure storage facility' is clearly a fallacy).
We stayed 2 nights and upon return after our first day out shopping all that had been done to our room is the towels had been replaced. The dirty tea cups hadn't been replaced and nothing else had been cleaned..not even a quick hoover. Pretty shocking for somewhere classing itself as it does.
There are no breakfast facilities but a few options locally on the highstreet round the corner. Went to Arro a 5 minute walk away one morning which was very good.
We both thought the overall feel was of a hostel with nicer rooms due to the complete lack of any facilities and poor room servicing. I'm suspicious of the other glowing reviews...it was...
