The staff were lovely and hospitable. The server was really lovely to deal with. The lobster and fixings were tasty. The claws were to die for, somewhat pricy, but expected this.
We were looking forward to trying out this place. To be honest, I like lobster, but the dining experience was a bit of a pain. The plate came out without the food. The lobster with the potatoes, etc. came out in a bag, which I understand the point, but it was so off-putting. We were given plastic gloves to eat because of how the butter sauce and the trying to crack open using greasy gloves and stuff. I'm not sure if we managed to get all the valuable meat. I would have liked the lobster to at least beat partially cracked open. It was a hot day, and we were exhausted. Trying to use nut crackers while using loose plastic glives to crack open a slippery lobster is not easy. I did put a muscle in my thumb a bit.
On arrival, the restaurant had just opened for business, but the last thing you want to smell before/during your dinner is strong dettol- it was nauseating plus evaporating, creating a muggy feeling. I will give it a chance again but might come at a later time and ask if the xan ore- cracked open partially. This is not to be negative about the staff, food, or the place itself,l I am just being honest about observation and my experience- I will give this a go again but not...
Read moreDisappointing Experience at The Red Lobster - Ealing
I recently visited The Red Lobster in Ealing, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. Firstly, the service was lacking. Our server never asked if we had any allergies or dietary restrictions while we were choosing our meals. As someone with gluten and dairy intolerances, I was disappointed to find that there were no gluten-free options available, and no mention of dairy-free alternatives either. This is something basic that should be considered when serving customers with specific needs. Additionally, the wine we were served was unpleasant, and when we requested a replacement, the new one was better, but still, it was an inconvenience. The meal itself was even worse. We ordered lobster pasta, both of which were poorly prepared. The lobster had missing meat from the shell and both dishes were incredibly unappetizing super oily and covered in sauce. My husband and I couldn’t even finish our meals and left most of it untouched. Given the price, we expected much better quality and attention to detail. Overall, the experience was very disappointing, and we won’t be returning to this location. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve both the food quality and the level of...
Read moreWell decorated restaurant and I cannot fault it. There were some flies on the window but it is summer time. We ordered the lobster seafood boil with Cajun sauce. The Cajun sauce was delicious and so were the side garlic and chilli sauce. The octopus salad was good but the octopus would have been better if cooked a little less. Unfortunately the lobster boil was disappointing. For about £135 the lobster and prawns should have been fresher. The chef said that the lobster and some prawns were mushy because they are frozen. This is not a valid excuse in my opinion. We left a whole lobster due to the mushy flesh. They did give 10% off. The waiting staff was very inexperienced but polite. The service did not match the sector of the restaurant or its price. Overall food quality was substandard. With the 10% discount it was £185 for two adults and two children. We were there from 7.30 to 9.45pm on Friday and we were the only customers the whole time. They seem to have capacity for 100 guests so it’s odd that we were the only customers on a Friday but not surprised considering the poor quality of the...
