Very POOR hygiene. As someone that works in hospitality i couldn't help but notice the way the gentlemen was handing food. To start off with the worst. They are using the steamer from COFFEE machine( which is used to heat up milk) to make scrambled egg in a plastic jug, not to mention customers that had ordered hot chocolates after that , the SAME steamer was used to make the drinks. Cross contamination?? The gentleman was using his hands to touch veg tomatoes avacado etc not washing his hands in between , then taking payments with the card reader handling money then back to touching food with his hands again! Wiping his hands on the cloth wrapped on him but then using the SAME cloth to wipe the surfaces around him .. chopping boards ect. very disgusting. An audit needs to be put in place for this cafe. I dont want to be that person but this is how people get sick theres just no sense of awareness of BACTERIA. I will never go there again. If you do plan on going pay attention to how your food is being handled it’s important! I ordered a hot drink and after what i saw i...
Read moreThe elderly gentleman from Spain was a breath of fresh air wrt customer service in UK. He designed my sandwich, allowed me to use the restroom, which they usually do not as the rsstroom opposite was out of order and even have my own food. Also gave me a glass of milk when asked for a cold beverage. Also apologised when he mentioned he did not have the appropriate USB cable to charge my phone. He kept wiping the food assembly platform, so extra points for hygiene, and the food heating was just right. The hashbrowns were nice, I think had turmeric in them. Samosas a bit greasy but yum again. I liked the presentation of the boiled egg on toast sandwich-absolutely surprised.
He has been working there for 43 years, so do chat up with him and offer a tip as he is away from family in Spain.
I hope he received the tip I shared, well deserved!
Absolutely recommend this place if you are waiting for a visa appointment or thereafter. Really affordable...
Read moreStumbled upon Riccardo's only yesterday as I thought there must be more places around campus London to get something to eat. So today I decided I would pop in and grab a sandwich. I was hungry and didn't want to mess about deciding, so went for my usual quick cafe sausage and bacon on brown bap. It's a very typical Italian run cafe serving the best English cafe dishes around. When you go in you wont see tables and seats full of builders, no, its very much a mix crowd that comes here. Today it wasn't busy inside but I did get the feeling it can get very busy come Friday lunch time. If you are around Campus London, then walk down just a few metres to this...
