Spontaneously decided to visit a Japanese eatery, craving something warm on this chilly winter day. Opted for a teriyaki salmon don as the main course and some takoyaki for a starter. Unexpectedly, the takoyaki was served cold, but it still had a fantastic flavor with discernible octopus pieces, although the sauce was a bit excessive for my liking. The teriyaki salmon exceeded expectations, featuring high-quality salmon and an ideal amount of teriyaki sauce that perfectly complemented the accompanying rice. The portion was generous, leaving me feeling satisfied. To top it off, they offered complimentary Japanese green tea, adding a delightful touch to the meal on this wintry day.

If you like local businesses and want to support a local endeavor - this is the place to go. Ikram (chef and owner) is a lovely guy who opened this based with the encouragement of his kids, after working for years as a sushi chef. He is getting top fish from all the suppliers of the high end restaurants, and his wife is making all kind of gyoza and salads. The prices are probably 15-20% less than neighbouring good places such as Atari-Ya and Maguro, and the quality is much better than Feng Sushi. Really suggest you give him a try, it's a tiny place but takeaway is always a good option!

The sushi here is of exceptional quality and having eaten at quite a few different Japenese sushi restaurants in the city, I can safely say that is also one of the best in London. As a former sushi chef at Nobu, Ikram's Sushi Tokoro offers the quality of the a high end sushi restaurant without the pretention and the high price. As far as London sushi goes, Sushi Tokoro is reasonably priced for the quality you are getting. Bear in mind that it is more of a cafe than restaurant so there may not always be space to eat there. They do offer take away in any case. Would highly recommend.

Our family loves Sushi Tokoro! It is one of our favourite places to get sushi. Even our 4yo is a fan.

Everything is fresh. They make-to-order if you call in for pick up or dine-in (very limited seating). They have a fridge with some pre-prepared sushi if you need to grab-and-go. We sometimes call ahead to pick up, and sometimes we walk by and buy something from the fridge and it’s always awesome :)

I usually get a salmon box. My son loves his salmon maki. My husband loves the nigiri. So yummy!

One downside is that it can take a while if they are busy, given that they make-to-order and there are only two people making the sushi. So I would recommend you call ahead to pick up (a good 30-45min...

We found this restaurant a few years back out of a random walk and happy that this is a local gem! Their sushi is fresh, pretty surprised that the size of the sushi is massive too and full of toppings - definitely worth every penny! They sell all the classics and the menu is kept small-ish, which I like. Don't get me started on the staff and service, they are the loveliest evaah! We sat down outdoor with cute little table setup and enjoyed every bit of the food and service and the experience. Wanted to get an uni (sea urchin) nigiri but sadly it was sold out that day, so definitely coming...
