I ordered a few food products online including 12 packets of the Gifflar cinnamon rolls because my son who is an extreme picky eater (related to his autism) likes them a lot. It’s rare to find food that he actually will eat. I usually buy them from Ikea but because of Covid-19, I decided to buy them from ScandiKitchen and have enough for at least 2months. I made the order on 24/04/2020 and did not receive my order until 11/05/2020. Products were in good condition and my husband and I enjoyed trying the Scandi treats. Today though, I noticed that the remaining eight packets of Gifflar had a best before date of 03/06/2020. I spoke with a nice lady on the phone explaining things and emailed her a couple of pictures of the Gifflar packets which she said she will forward to her manager. The reply they sent to me had a thorough explanation of why they couldn’t help me at all and why they weren’t able to tell me in advance that the Gifflar packets were expiring in less than a month from the time I received them. Who can consume twelve packets of these cinnamon rolls in less than a month?! My fault is that I did not check the expiration date when I received them (Not everyone does that for ambient items) but I was expecting them to be good for two months at least. Their suggestions were to freeze them (but they are expired already) and to eat them anyway because they will still be good although a little dry. Umm okay. Feed expired goods to my son? Thanks for the advice but no...

Latest review: Have been a semi-regular customer since my first review. I love this place. The food is delicious and a good price. I love the downstairs section too. Will continue to visit. Quite easily my favourite spot in the whole of London. Scandinavian food honestly doesn’t get as much love as it deserves. It’s one of the best in the world. Would love to see more salmon.

—— Old review: I was looking for some authentic Scandinavian food and I found this place. I ordered the Swedish meatballs and a salmon smørresbrød with a latte. The place was very popular and there was a long line. The staff were helpful, but I didn’t know if I had to wait in line or find a seat. It would be nice to have some signs to make it clear.

The meatballs were delicious, with a nice gravy and berries. The mashed potato was smooth and creamy. The only thing I would change is the presentation, which was a bit messy. The smørresbrød was also very good, with fresh and tasty ingredients. The oat latte was smooth and flavorful.

I decided to buy some groceries from downstairs, but the register was closed. There was a sign telling me to go upstairs, but I wasn’t sure if I had to join the lunch line or go to the front. I waited in the lunch line, but I think there should be a separate line for groceries, since it takes less time.

The staff were friendly and polite, and the place had a nice and cozy atmosphere. I found that the prices were very...

Ordered online. After 5 days I was asked to confirm that I am OK with chilled goods going off during transit. I copied and pasted text as requested into my reply but also voiced my frustration it taking them 5 days to contact me when I thought goods would be on the way . Thereafter I received a reminder to copy paste text re chilled goods. I just did that. Was also informed that they would not post for another 5 days = 11 days after order was placed. I asked for a refund which did came quickly. Dreadful service email maybe AI powered. As it looks like I can't respond to the response from the owner I have to add it here: if not AI powered how come that I confirm by email that I am okay with the chilled goods by copying the text as required to then receive a response from scandi kitchen telling me I still have to send the chilled goods confirmation which they already received? Why can ScandiKitchen not sort the chilled goods scenario on their webpage as other businesses do who also send chilled goods from London? It is rather complicated to do it y email after the order was placed even more so as they take days to request it. Why is the finger always pointed at the courier when it is the business that decides on the courier they use? At last but not least I did say in my review that you reimbursed me so why do you need to emphasise this in the response? This was by the way the second time I experienced this and definitely...

as a London Swede, I appreciate this place so much! makes me feel very much at home <3 it’s so nice to have a place with good-quality fresh scandinavian food, i am always so intrigued by the counter of open sandwiches, and the delightful selection of bakes goods. also if you go, you should definitely check out their store downstairs for a variety of scandinavian snacks and food. thank you for keeping me stocked up on falukorv <3 the staff are also incredibly sweet and helpful! i recently tried their classic semla, which was quite fine, unfortunately the bun was a bit dry and lacked cardamom flavour, and i thought there was not nearly enough almond paste. however, i also tried the kanelbulle-semla from my friend and it was a bit better, softer and flavourful. still could’ve had more cinnamon in my opinion. i’m very picky though because i’m Swedish :). the filter coffee gets a strong approval though, it was spectacularly brewed :). would love to return and try their other things some day!

I used to come here before for some of the best cinnamon buns in town when my office was just around the corner. I came back yesterday to grab takeaway lunch with a colleague after a few years only to be amazed by the lunch options - plenty of hot and cold food options, which are affordable especially for their nutritional content, as well as many yummy pastries and other desserts. I got the open sandwich with marinated herring fish and beet, as well as some potato salad and beet salad (it's beet season, don't judge me 🤪); and for dessert I got the Danish milk chocolate drink. Big shout-out to Ameena (hope I got your name right and sorry if I didn't!) who offered really excellent customer service. 5/5 would recommend ScandiKitchen to anyone in the area. Reminded me of my trip in Copenhagen...
