Excellent modern japanese cuisine. If youre looking for a traditional sushi place this isnt the place for you though. The chefs are very creative and take many deviations from what many might consider classic sushi for a unique and modern culinary experience.

Everything was beautifully crafted and originally perfected. The service was warm, welcoming and prefessional. Ill be a guest there again most certainly.

Two small, particular details on the service i would like to share rather with the owners than the public though.

One of our waiters, he was rather young, was as pleasant, attentive and friendly as the others, however, he seemed to have been rather new to the industry or at least to this particular place and he felt to overshoot the goal a little bit in his attempt to do his job well. We had the deluxe nigiri platter (its precise name eludes me at the moment) and we took our time savouring the different tastes. Towards the end, my company's plate was empty and so was the platter, I however, still had the last nigiri on my plate waiting to be enjoyed. It was at that moment that the waiter came and cleared my partner's plate and the empty platter. Naturally, he left my plate as it still had food on it. This felt awfully rushed to me. Even though i know that no such intention was made i felt like being ushered to finish my plate so the next course could be served. This evening was the first time ive seen my partner in close to half a year so we were savouring each others company as much as the food. To having felt rushed put a little, quickly forgotten dent into an otherwise very enjoyable dinner. Then, during dessert, sadly our two double espressos never arrived at the table. The bill doesnt say whether or not we paid for them so that shall remain a mistery to us. Considering the waiter seemed so nervous i assume it never made it into the register and i assume we didnt pay for it either. Also, the dessert was so good, especially the black sesame fondant, that we ourselves didnt notice the coffee was missing until much later in the evening otherwise i would have told the staff. So it didnt influence our experience in any way.

Again, this were two minor details which didnt upset me then and dont upset me now. I want to share this purely for the fact that this restaurant seemed ro strive for perfection and would want to advise their staff on this. So this is well meant feedback, not an angry comment.

TLDR: would highly recommend for an exciting non-standsrd sushi experience. Would eat...

I wasn’t going to leave a review but since I received an email to leave feedback, I will. The food was nice, if it wasn’t for the ramen deal then I wouldn’t go back because the quality of the food doesn’t justify the original price tag. The drinks were nice and the person serving us was accommodating, giving us drink recommendations as well. When it came to payment, it failed when using apple pay so I used my physical card but for some reason that didn’t work either. He then said it might be the card reader so he went to get another one, but another lady came back instead (assuming she’s a manager of some sort though her attitude was not reflecting a high position) the first thing she said was that their card reader had been taking payments all day and had been working fine so it definitely wasn’t the issue. This attitude was very unprofessional and unfortunate since we had good service and a good time dining beforehand and this completely ruined the mood. I replied saying that I had been making payments all day with the same card and never had any issues, we tried again and I inserted my card this time and it worked fine (unsurprisingly) and her attitude completely changed. She then asked about our dinner, if everything was alright etc and the regular hospitality formalities. She also added that my card may not have worked beforehand due to tapping it so much which is what I told her before when I wanted to insert my card instead of contactless. I didn’t like how she was so adamant on implying that my card was the issue, if she had let me pay without adding all these odd remarks this review would be at least one star...

I’ve never written a negative review before, but our experience at this restaurant was so appalling that I feel compelled to share. From start to finish, the service was nothing short of awful.

We were ignored on two separate occasions, and people who arrived after us were served first. One waiter, a white man with glasses and longish hair, put his hand in front of our faces, made a dismissive expression, and turned around. A Black female staff member acknowledged us, made a face, and then walked off without helping. Another waiter went around the entire room asking if people were okay or needed anything else—completely skipping over our table, even though we were friendly, smiling, and dressed appropriately for the setting.

When we finally flagged down a waitress and asked for the manager, he seemed reluctant to approach. When he eventually came over, he didn’t address the issues but instead made excuses. By that point, my husband simply asked to pay for what we had so we could leave.

We had been in the restaurant for 1hour and 30 mins and all we had was drinks and two starters!

I’ve never experienced such blatant disregard and discrimination in my life. It was deeply upsetting, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Needless to say, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to others.

To think I came out for our anniversary, to be ruined by...

I went for dinner with a friend and it was a pretty lovely experience :] The dishes were not only delicious but also filling, and reasonably priced. I myself had the pork belly ramen bowl, and we were both surprised to notice the quality of flavour, quantity and presentation. It's no wonder it's such a popular main. We also ordered the chef's selection of sushi platter to share, which was plentiful and very tasty. When it was served, my friend jokingly noted that scallops were missing from the selection (they are a favourite of hers), but the waiter took note of this, and the chef prepared for us an extra portion of scallop sushi. That was so thoughtful and kind of them! My friend also had the flashy jelly crystal sushi- with the kimchi jelly and scallops filling. She said it was a nice surprise with the balance of flavours. The kimchi is not overpowering, and you can appreciate the freshness of the fish. The non-alcoholic drinks (we had the apple mojito and lychee lemonade) are fantastic as well, not to mention the cute desserts (fully recommend the sesame fondant). And I loved the ambience music :] Overall a great meal! the place is perfect if you want to have a stylish but not TOO fancy date and stay comfortable. I do want to visit again!

Staff were nice and the location is very convenient. Environment is superb as well. However, if you are expecting real ‘Japanese’ sushi, you might be a bit disappointed. They added some cheese/topping of the sushi, which are not usually what Japanese does. But I guess they’ve designed this way of cooking so that it’s more acceptable for British. The food was ‘okay’ and not too bad in my opinion. But it’s definitely not that style of Japanese sushi I got from Japan and people who actually came Japan can easily tell. The tuna sushi was the only one that fit my standard. But please don’t be disheartened, it’s really not too bad. The 1-person lunch with 12-piece sushi and miso soup was £35. BTW, the still water costs £4.85 — I was a bit shocked when I saw the bill cuz the waiter didn’t tell me the price when she asked me if I would fancy some still water. 🤣Anyway, it’s not her problem cuz I should’ve asked. So totally I paid a total of £45, with the service fee included. Whether it is worth it, it depends on your financial circumstances so I won’t comment on it. All in all, I think it definitely suits British’s favour but I’m not too sure if Japanese would like it. Overall, staff was very nice and the atmosphere was just perfect.
