Authentic Thai Food in a Relaxed Local Spot - 10/10 Experience
I had lunch here yesterday with a friend, and we both had a fantastic experience. We started with rice crackers, followed by two mains: the Penang chicken curry with coconut rice and the chicken Pad Thai. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and tasted very authentic — I’ve been to Thailand myself, and this food really brought back memories.
For dessert, we shared coconut ice cream and sticky rice with mango. Everything was fresh and flavourful. We also had a bottle of sparkling water and a couple of beers.
Our waitress, Peachy, was polite, attentive and efficient — she did her job well without being intrusive, which we really appreciated.
The restaurant had a calm and relaxed atmosphere, spotlessly clean (even the bathrooms), and the kitchen area looked organised and well-run. It's not posh or flashy, but that’s part of its charm — it’s a genuinely nice place to enjoy good food in peace.
Price-wise, the main dishes were reasonably priced for London (around £15), but the extras — like the rice crackers, the sides and the desserts — felt disproportionately expensive. For example, the rice crackers were nearly £5, which seemed steep compared to the cost and portion of the mains. The sparkling water was also around £5. So while the food itself isn’t overpriced, the total bill ended up higher due to the cost of sides and drinks (£82 bill).
That said, the quality of the food and the service made it all worthwhile. I'd absolutely recommend it and look forward...

Ordered the Weeping Tiger — chargrilled marinated sirloin with chili tamarind dip — but it limped in rather than roared. Fatty, bland, and strangely joyless. Paired it with drunken noodles that were just as uninspired — no heat, no zing, no soul.
A Chang beer kept me company and honestly did most of the heavy lifting flavour-wise. Staff were friendly and welcoming, but £41 for a meal this flat? Not worth it. Plenty of better Thai options in London that actually taste...
