đ Pimlico đşÂ ÂŁ4.95 Amstel â¤ď¸ Traditional nautical themed pub with a village pub feel. . My Son and I visited here back in May on a mooch around Pimlico and this was the most traditional boozer we visited in the area. The pub is just a five minute walk from Pimlico Tube and pretty easy to get to. The one thing you notice as you approach the pub is how different the building is compared to the surrounding buildings of the Tachbrook estate which was built at the back of the pub after the WWII. Inside you immediately get a feeling youâve walked in to a village pub out in the sticks, there is a real cosy relaxed feel here. The decor is traditional with a nautical theme running through out with some amazing model ships and a proper red pub carpet for good measure. Due to covid restrictions at the time it was table service only and we were served by a really nice lady who took our order. The pub has plenty going on to keep you entertained with live music, quiz nights, pool table and darts. . This pub was a great find and it was great to visit a pub that hasnât had to change itâs environment to attract punters. I loved this traditional old school boozer which evoked memories of how the pub landscape looked prior to the mid 90âs. If you want a proper traditional pub experience, then The Grosvenor in Pimlico is a must visit. . đ 21/05/21

Read moreSuch a shame! This place is so cozy and the food is actually really good and reasonably priced, however the manager and his team are really quite poor at their jobs. The manager was so rude and abrupt to us. Not that it matters, but I think he thought we were tourists. He left us standing for quite a while before he sorted us with a table (we were told not to take another step). During this he was all over the place serving drinks, meals and showing those who had booked to their table (he made a point of noting to us and the rest of the pub that we had not booked, even though when we stepped in there were no more than 10 people). There were also two other female colleagues of his who I have previously described as being quite poor at their jobs, however, with less chaotic management they could probably do much better. They certainly show signs of being proactive, hard working and organisied. I suspect the managers attitude and values have rubbed off on them and have severely disengaged them in their roles. I'm just sharing this feedback because I know you guys can do so...
Read moreBeen going here a few years now for roast dinners as they were always the best for roast's on a Sunday but over the last few visit's me and the wife have noticed the food just does not taste as great as it used to, either they have changed their chef or they have used new cheaper products, either way the grade from the roast dinners has fallen which is a shame as the roasts on a sunday here used to be Amazing.
I have also seen first hand on two occasions now people saying that they thought the food had not been as good of late and saw them even tell the owner and his wife.
I really hope they start to make the sunday dinners like they used to as they were the best around at one point and you could just about get a table on a sunday, but these days you can notice on a sunday it's never as packed as what it once was 1-2 years back, maybe that's the sign that the grade of the food has dropped?
I hope the owner and his wife see this as I would love them to get there act together and make this place have the best roasts in...
