Somewhat overpriced fish and chips. This is a gorgeous pub within minutes of Victoria Station. The background music was gentle and lovely, and the place is so nice inside that even the restrooms were pretty, tastefully decorated and smelled pretty good. The mismatched chairs are great and the ambiance is just perfect. Ideal to sit down and have a relaxed meal without noise. The waitress and waiter were two lovely people, very polite and very sweet. I ordered a £19.75 plate of fish and chips. Firstly, the presentation is excellent, in a beautiful oval plate with blue edges. I was given the choice of thin or chunky fries and chose thin. I didn't even think about the peas, but they surprised me with these absolutely splendid semi-mushy peas with I think mint, that were just perfect. I don't think I've ever had such tasty, excellent and gorgeous mushy peas. They gave me tartar sauce which felt too vinegary to me so I left them. The fries were absolute godsend, as perfect as the peas. Thin, golden, a little crunchy, soft inside, and so incredibly tasty! I've never had such excellent fries unless at home, no pub or restaurant ever makes them that incredibly wonderful. I'm however disappointed on the lemon, which was slightly burnt but not at all caramelised as the menu suggested it should be, and more than anything the battered cod, which makes me feel I paid too much money for a dish whose star ingredient left a lot to be desired. The batter was completely soaked in oil, which made it lose its crunchiness, and the cod inside was watery and falling apart, and utterly tasteless. Lemon, tartar sauce and later, mayonnaise, didn't fix it. So an almost excellent albeit overpriced meal in an excellent pub.

šŸš‡Ā Pimlico šŸŗĀ Ā£5.55 Estrella ā¤ļø A modern contemporary pub set inside a beautiful Victorian exterior. . Prior to visiting Pimlico I researched a few pubs to see which ones I would visit. One of the pubs I didn’t research was the @whiteswanpimlicolondon but I’m so glad I came here. This pub has a beautiful exterior with marble columns, gold detailing and victorian lamps. Inside the decor is modern and contemporary with exposed brickwork, large chandeliers and a wonderful wrought iron spiral staircase. At the time of visiting it was table service only, we were taken to a table by a really friendly member of staff and he came back shortly after to take our order. My Son and I ordered a couple of Estrella’s and some tapas as we were a few pubs in to our crawl and felt famished. The food was really tasty and the portions were a good size, the beer was also good and not overly priced. The service was excellent, the young lad who served us was polite, efficient and informed us of how long our food would be. The atmosphere here is upbeat and buzzy but the pub is big enough that you still have your own space to socialise in. . I haven’t been to a @mcmullens1827 pub in some time and these guys have a great pub in The White Swan. . šŸ“ŠĀ Information correct on visiting 21/05/21

Nice restaurant. Quite vintage (rather not use dated) interior. I may have to visit again on a separate day as my visit this time was for a pre-booked Christmas 2021 team get together that kept on getting rescheduled so what we had was our Christmas menu still, in March. Based on that, I cannot comment on what their normal menu is like. The Christmas meal was ok although not exactly the sort of things I would order for myself but as it was a pre-set menu for the team, I had to make do but overall it was edible although I struggled to finish my 2 courses as like I said, they were not really my cup of tea on a normal day. My cocktail šŸø was good except I underestimated the alcoholic content until I started feeling very relaxed. Lol. They have made good use of the space they have. They have the dining area downstairs and a spiral stairway leads you to the upstairs dining area. The toilet was ok and neat. Thankfully no foul odors. I hope you like the photos.

We study close by so this pub is often our last minute place after College. However after what I experienced there. I don’t think I ā€˜ll recommend this place again any time soon. On Tuesday 14 May at about 6:30 me and two colleagues went to our usual next door pub. Unfortunately, the two men serving at the bar were quite ā€˜high’ because they were rather angry and aggressive for no reason when my 30 y old non-British friend asked for a beer. They would not accept her European ID either an online document cause they thought it was fake and they were really rude and definitely not able to communicate calmly as we did. They gave us a rather embarrassing show of gestures and NOs- I had to ask the man to calm down, but of course he couldn’t! As a result, when we decided to settle with some food instead of a beer and I asked if they could ā€˜at least’ serve food to us. The same bar guy found this time my phrase rude and would not take an order at all. None would point a manager when we asked so his colleague who was in the same ā€˜high situation’ told us to wait back in the ā€˜cue’ until all other customers are served. Unfortunately my friend was served nothing, we were both frustrated, we just shared my beer and went for dinner some...
