Definition of overhyped and underwhelming. Yes, the music was good, but that’s about the only redeeming quality in this chaotic circus of a venue. Let’s start with the absurdity at the door: my friends, who were fully dressed up, got stopped for wearing flip flop-style sandals. Not beach flip flops, but stylish, put-together, very much outfit-appropriate flip flop sandals. Nowhere during booking did it state this was an issue, by the way. The fact that they had to go buy new shoes just to get in is laughable… if we hadn’t already pre-paid for a table and drinks (and traveled out over an hour), we would’ve dipped then and there. The bouncers actually seemed like decent humans and even they seemed embarrassed enforcing such a stupid rule (as they should)… Trying to be bougie but forgot to be functional. And also forgot this is a PUB?? 😂 come off it. Then we finally get inside - only to be told our booking for FIVE only includes seating for FOUR. Because apparently, there’s a policy for “half-standing, half-sitting” on Fridays and weekends. Excuse me??? Half-standing?? How are you acting boujie and VIP at the door with dress code policies, and then overbooking to the point of making people with table reservations stand. Pathetic. On top of that, it’s not even “half” when one person has to stand. Like are you mentally okay? What were we expected to do - rotate shifts like we’re in a standing army formation? Or have one person hovering over us whilst four of us sat? I’m convinced this place is run by idiots. We ended up stealing a chair from another (empty) table because clearly, logic and hospitality don’t live here. And the cocktails? Don’t get me started. The “jugs” were stingy as hell and were giving diluted Robinsons Summer Fruits squash (if you look at the pictures you’ll know I’m not exaggerating). Not a cocktail - barely even a mocktail, not flavorful, and 100% insulting. I was lowkey relieved it was a tiny portion because they were actually vile. In short: TikTok lied. The vibe was not vibing. Save your money, your energy, and your time - there are better places in London with actual chairs, actual cocktails, good vibes, and policies written by people with basic common sense.

I've been to this place before and I used to wait in line for 20-30 minutes to get in. Last night was the worst experience I've ever had. In addition to waiting two hours and 30 minutes to get in, they have a peculiar way of deciding how many people will get in when X people leave. When I asked the security guard why more than 29 people left and none got in, I was told only that I should wait because we were going in soon. I believe this same security guard is Somalia and, checking previous reviews, this was not an isolated case when he was rude to me and other people who were in line. When I asked his name, he left, saying he wouldn't tell me, in a sarcastic tone. This was my last experience at this place, and I'm very surprised that there are people who are not prepared to answer questions and be even minimally polite. The last time I went, the woman who charged me, and I was there last night, charged me extra for the entrance fee and when questioned, she said she had made a mistake, considering that this had already happened to my colleague who was next to me once before. To top it off, this same security guard at the entrance was enjoying his party with some friends at the end of the night and stared at me and my friends in an uncomfortable way. He was accompanied by other guys who had already passed by us and made stupid jokes. We left soon after because we didn't feel safe after all that. Want some advice? Don't go to this place.

I really contemplated writing this review as I have been to the Prince 4 times now and have always had a really good time, but this last visit was just appalling and I feel I must voice these issues.

We arrived on time at the Prince and were seated (2 of the group were joining us later which was made clear to the staff) 30 minutes after our time slot should have started we still had not been served and many members of staff had walked past our table, seemingly completely ignoring us. As a particularly anxious person I waited as long as possible to give the staff the benefit of the doubt and see if they would come to serve us. 30 minutes after our bottomless was supposed to start I had to go to the front desk and inform the staff that we had not been served. We then finally had our order taken by a member of staff, her first interaction with us was to very rudely tell us that we had arrived late, hence why we were not served. We did not arrive late. 45 minutes after the start of our bottomless was supposed to start, we were brought our first drinks. The drinks were not topped up quickly, and we had to keep asking for top-ups which we repeatedly had to wait over 10 minutes to receive. 15 minutes before the end of our 'new' time slot was meant to end, we were given the bill and told to pay. We had finished our last round of drinks slightly before and were waiting for our final round before the end of our bottomless was to end. The waitress came over with the card machine and we informed her that we still had 15 minutes left and would like our last round of drinks. She told us we were not allowed any more drinks because we arrived late to our time slot. We informed her that we did not arrive late and we were sat at the table for 45 minutes before receiving the first round of drinks. She refused to bring us any more drinks even though our 90 minutes were not up. Because of this we requested the service charge be removed from the bill. She became very annoyed at this and told us she would 'bring us a free round' to keep the service charge on. We informed her that the ÂŁ45 covered 90 minutes of bottomless drinks which we were not being served so the 'free round' was not a free round, but rather the round of drinks we were entitled to, so we would prefer to take off the service charge as we did not feel the service was up to an acceptable standard, especially as she had accused us of being late twice and refused to provide the service we had paid for. She was very rude and this brought my whole birthday to quite a bitter end. We paid and left and I regretted not asking to speak with management, but again, it was my birthday and I am quite anxious so decided to leave it.

Overall I was very surprised with how disappointing this bottomless was. I did not expect to have such a bad experience, especially on my birthday. ÂŁ45 is not cheap and I had friends travelling to London from over the country to celebrate, so for this level of service, I was incredibly disappointed. I will no longer be recommending this place to friends and family and will not visit again. I hope the management speak with their staff because if not for this experience, we would have had a lovely night and I would have had a lovely birthday...

My friend and I had a bottomless brunch last Saturday and we were genuinely appalled at how this place was managed. We had a booking for 15:00pm however we didn’t get seated until around half past and the food and first drink were ordered around 15:45pm, even though we had a booking? Considering this is a bottomless brunch for an hour and a half, we only received 4 drinks that were supposed to be “refilled when you get to halfway” however we were waiting about 20 minutes between drinks.

It was absolutely packed and I have no idea how the staff coped with the absolute chaos. One poor girl was serving most of the tables by the bar on her own. That is extremely tough and unfair on top of the bar staff not only providing for the bottomless brunch but also people are just at the bar. Considering we waited so long for our food (appreciate there were at least 200 people for quite a small venue) I do not feel the bottomless brunch should be advertised for that capacity of people if it isn’t going to run accordingly. One lady asked us when only one of us had our food and saw empty glasses on our table if we had been served, which we hadn’t so she thankfully ordered for us. Someone else came over after and asked us the same thing but we only received one set of drinks instead of 2 and that would’ve been the last.

The last drink was at 4:15 (15 mins before our time ended). We felt as if we were being ignored quite a lot due to the fact our slot for the brunch was the last one (3pm). Our table was right in the middle but we had instruments right next to us so we couldn’t hear each other (I love musical instruments but unfortunately not right next to me when I’m eating and trying to talk to my friend.). My chicken was just pure fat which also wasn’t the best. However I enjoyed the edamame.

5 minutes before our booking was due to finish the waitress came over and said we should be ready to pay the bill now? After an hour of being sat down and 45 mins after food and drinks were ordered and 4 drinks? My friend and I asked if we could add another drink just before we finished as we were within the time frame. At half past she came over with the bill and said she didn’t and couldn’t add another drink on even though we had asked within our time, been let in late, only had 4 drinks and our food was more than 45 mins late. When you’re paying £60 you expect the quality and service to be there. And it just wasn’t. We did end up speaking to 2 women who had walkie talkies at the end as we were annoyed and extremely disappointed (unsure of their names) and they were helpful but couldn’t do anything at the time as they were security.

I felt compelled to write this review so the management can look into this further as my friend and I were extremely disappointed. I have heard good things about this place but unfortunately it by no means met the expectations we were hoping for, especially for the price you’re paying. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing a response by the team....

I attended The Prince on 23/05/25 for my girlfriend’s brother’s birthday. We queued around 7 PM and were let in roughly 20 minutes later, not a huge issue, though odd considering the pub was half empty at the time. We went through a thorough search, ID was checked twice by different staff, then we were finally allowed in.

Once inside, we got to our reserved table but were one chair short. Wanting to be respectful, I approached staff to ask if I could take one from a nearby empty table. Instead of helping, I was met with an unnecessarily rude and dismissive response: “Your booking is standing and sitting -check your email.” I wasn’t the one who made the reservation, so I had no idea what they were referring to. No effort was made to assist. I ended up standing awkwardly until one of us left and I could sit down, an uncomfortable way to meet my girlfriend’s friends and family.

Despite the rough start, I tried to enjoy the night, danced, chatted, went out for a smoke. But after about three hours in the venue, things took a strange and frankly disturbing turn. On my way back from the toilet, I was pulled aside by security and told to follow them through a fire exit into a back alley. No explanation, just that it was a “random search” and “policy.”

I’ve been going to pubs and clubs across London for over a decade, from Shoreditch to Vauxhall to Fabric, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. I cooperated, handed over everything I had, but the tone from security was confrontational from the start. I said I wanted to leave and asked for my belongings back. They refused until two more security guards arrived, as if I was some kind of avengers level threat. Only then, after the avengers arrived, I was handed my things and escorted out through the fire exit.

I spent around ÂŁ80 myself on drinks and my table spent several hundred pounds more, only to be treated like a problem rather than a paying customer. I left feeling disrespected, humiliated, and even a little threatened.

If this is how The Prince treats its guests, I won’t be returning. I’d strongly encourage management to review how they train their staff and their intrusive policies. And to anyone considering booking here, I’d...
