We visited The Real Greek on Sunday evening after catching a show at the Globe Theatre, arriving around 10 PM when most places were winding down. Despite the late hour, the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They asked us to wait just a few minutes before securing us a table on the front terrace - what a fantastic result!

The location is absolutely spectacular. Sitting on the front terrace offers stunning views across the Thames toward St. Paul's Cathedral and the Millennium Bridge. It's one of those perfect London dining spots where you can watch people strolling by and taking photos against the beautiful riverside scenery. While the interior dining area is nice and spacious, the real magic happens if you can snag one of those coveted front seats with the river view.

We kept our order simple with moussaka and spinach pie for starters, followed by chicken and lamb souvlaki, Greek salad, and a couple of Alpha beers. The service was impressively quick - food arrived within minutes of ordering. The souvlaki was definitely the highlight - both the chicken and lamb were very well prepared and flavorful. The Greek salad was fresh with everything nicely cut and presented.

I did have some concerns about the moussaka temperature and wasn't entirely sure about the meat mixture, though it was tasty enough and caused no issues. Generally, I would have preferred the food served a bit hotter, but the quality was solid throughout.

The Alpha beer was rather plain - we'll definitely try something different from their Greek wine selection next time. At around £65 including tip, the pricing felt fair for the location and London standards, especially considering the prime riverside setting.

Perfect spot for a post-theatre dinner with those incredible Thames views making it a memorable London...

Visiting Greek restaurants in London as a Greek always equals with high expectations. And I must say I was presently surprised.

While entering the restaurant I was greeted and taken to my table relatively fast. It was a Thursday evening so not many people in the restaurant upon my arrival.

The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my entire sitting.

I ordered 1 pork belly souvlaki and 1 vegan meatball souvlaki. Both of the dishes were reasonably sized and among the "cheaper" side of Greek souvlaki in London, priced at £6.75 each. The pork belly was very interesting as it had a nice twist on the traditional pork souvlaki, with a nice smokey flavor. The only thing I would ask is extra tzatziki sauce as it was very little on my souvlaki. However, the vegan meatball souvlaki really blew my expectations away! It was, if I dare say, better than the pork belly. Super tasty and generally a very good choice. Strongly recommend it for everyone.

The waiting time for the food to arrive at my table was a bit more than expected for the food I ordered. Specifically 21 minutes which for 2 souvlaki is a bit much but still within the limits. Although since the restaurant was not very busy, I expected quicker times of serving.

In total I paid £15.18 which includes the service fee (£1.68).

For a Greek like me visiting probably the biggest greek restaurant franchise in London, I must say I totally approve this place. The only thing that needs improvement is the waiting time for the food. This was a slow day and I could tell that the problem was general, just by looking around the other tables. Can't imagine the waiting times on a busy Friday or...

Firstly I should have visited the toilets first!😬😬I entered only to firstly see a toilet roll holder lying on the side filled with wet yellow toilet paper and the toilets unflushed and dirty. I had asked a waitress where the toilets were....she said "what" ...I repeated myself and she abruptly told me. We ordered food and when it finally arrived, it looked awful! The greek salad was nothing like I'd seen before, no feta, no olives! We ordered luganega a greek sausage which we'd had many times before (my husband was a chef in a taverna for many years). We were served something more like a bratwurst! We spoke to the waiter who said he didn't know if it was a genuine sausage as ALL FOOD WAS PREPARED OFF SITE!!!!! OMG! THIS IS UNREAL! He took the price of the sausages off the bill with no hesitation once my husband said he was a chef!!!!! Really, this restaurant doesn't deserve the prime position it has and now we know all food microwaved on site only. Give your prime spot to good hard working restauranters who appreciate it and their clients...you should be ashamed. I can see no responses from this restaurant to any reviews...another no, no in my opinion. The staff were also rude and seemed...

Had a lovely dinner here on New Year's Eve. We arrived an hour before our reservation due to my finishing work earlier than expected, but they were very accommodating and it was no problem getting a table. We ordered some bread and houmous, the pepper and feta dip and dolmades to start. They were delicious. To follow we shared lamb meatballs, chicken wings, salt cod fritters (my favourite), grilled aubergine and the agean slaw. Everything was hot, fresh and very tasty. I love the presentation, and especially like the sauces and other little garnishes that accompany the main dishes and make them even more yummy! We still had room for dessert so I had the caramel and pecan cheesecake, and my boyfriend the sorbet. The service from our waitress was really great. I felt a bit for her as there was a very drunk and rowdy group causing some her unnecessary work, but she remained calm, professional and friendly. The price of the meal was reasonable for the portions and quality of the food and, increasingly rare in London, there was no service charge added, which we generally prefer as we feel able to tip more freely. I'll definitely be back to this branch.
