We had the 3 course Christmas menu at Shaw's Booksellers for our work Christmas party. We ended up being a party of 35 and everyone was amazed at the quality of the food - several said it was the best meal they'd ever had for a Christmas party! Lots of quality options and decent options for vegetarians and vegans too - some non-veggies preferring the vegan options! Staff were really attentive and had prosecco waiting for us when we arrived. They even turned down the pub music for us when I was making an announcement to our area :)
I have to say also that Sidonie the manager is amazing!! She was so friendly, accommodating and easy to deal with, even when I had lots of questions about menu options etc. She's a star.
We are a charity and so did not have a large budget, and she was even willing to give us an incredibly generous discount that meant we could give our staff a meal they really deserve for the work they do all year round. This would not have be possible if it wasn't for her, and meant we could give everyone a really fab meal that everyone agreed felt really special.
If you're thinking of organising a group/work meal or party here, cannot recommend Sidonie and her team high...

I visited Shaw's recently and found it to be a lovely place - nicely tucked away in a great area of London, but still quite busy for midweek.
Beer selection great (I think I drank Hophead - maybe a guest ale - which is low percentage but high on flavour), and bar snacks delicious, especially the truffle / garlic chips which are dangerously addictive 😏. Was lovely to meet the manager too - well done Sidonie (apologies if I've spelt your name wrong) and...
