Tops Pizza Croydon — Restaurant in London

WORSE service ever!!! Me and my partner used to get a take away from them all the time. This time we walked in and the lady at the till was giving us an attitude from the start. After we ordered we asked her what was wrong and why she was giving us an attitude and she then shouted at my boyfriend that he did not pay for his take away last time and then did not show up for 2 months and that she remembers his face and that it was definitely him. I was so confused cause even if he did forget to pay, she could have just said it in a nice way and he would have paid. She was proper shouting and giving us an evil look. Mind you my boyfriend has been going there more than me.. for years (most of the staff there knows him)! I can’t even explain the way this lady was handling the situation because it was just SO rude! Straight away she made it seem like he stole the food and did not pay intentionally ( which was NOT the case!). We cancelled our order and my boyfriend insisted on paying for the food he allegedly “stole” the last time. There was a lot of back and forth because all of a sudden then she did not want him to pay for it. He insisted on paying the 10£ ^^ and we left. NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN BUT I WOULD RLY LIKE TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER ABOUT THIS INCIDENT BECAUSE THE WAY SHE BEHAVED WAS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. ( btw. This was not the first time this lady had an attitude.. even before this incident, every time she served us she was annoyed ( and showed this by rolling her eyes at us or talking back in a rude way) because we personalized our order which seemed to be too much of a...

See, now they respond asking for the order number so they can investigate.

Unfortunately I have already contacted them via their info@topspizza.com email address with the order numbers on both occasions to which they did nothing!!

I also had to email them asking for updates on both of these occasions!

Save your money, the replies from them to the reviews on here are merely to pretend that they offer some form of customer service, which they definitely don't!!!

Unfortunately this place is not what it once was and after many years of using them I will now be going elsewhere.

Orders are always wrong and pizzas arrive cold with uncooked toppings piled loosely on top. These fall off as soon as you move the pizza!

The woman in the Croydon store is also extremely rude, tell you "no one ever complains except you" and refuses to offer any options to rectify their issues.

Contacting Tops Pizza via info@topspizza.com is also next to useless. When you contact them in the event of serious issues (while providing photo evidence) they only offer partial refunds or points so you have no choice but to order more from them..

After two back to back bad experiences from them as well as loosing more than £50 I have learned my lesson!

Please, save yourselves the trouble and just order...

Pizza was almost an hour late, they lied about sending a message on just eat, lied about calling us about delivery (we had contacted them ourselves during this time) and I sat outside my house waiting for 45 extra minutes after the latest expected delivery time and then watched a car sit for 15 minutes idling which I thought was just a random passer by. Turned out to be our deliver driver! What on earth was he doing all that time? I took photos as proof of this and was met with resistance. This was the second requested delivery as ‘they couldn’t get access to the building’ funny because our door doesn’t require access. I showed the delivery driver this. It opens no problem without need for an access key. We contacted the store several times for updates on our delivery during this time and we were met with nothing but outright incompetence and blatant rudeness. Spoke to both a male and female on separate phone calls, both of which felt it was acceptable to shout at me. When we were finally delivered the food, which I had to fetch from the delivery driver in the road myself, it was stone cold and soggy. Avoid at all costs. Terrible food, even worse...
