Terrible food in a nice location. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant, which could have been lovely if they'd used good ham, mature cheese, the right amount of pickle and a few shreds of onion, and cooked it properly. None of these were true: wet ham and processed cheese and they squashed it to death in a sandwich toaster. Literally inedible.

We booked for the afternoon tea, it was just in the main cafe area, right at the entrance. A rubbish atmosphere as everyone is staring at you as you walk in. There was a mouse running around the floor as well. The food was excellent but could not be enjoyed due to the above reasons.

Very poor - cannot recommend. Only good thing was the service - the 2 girls worked very hard serving their customers. However the afternoon tea itself left A GREAT DEAL TO BE DESIRED.

Sandwiches taken straight from a cold place leaving them dry and almost inedible.

Exceptionally small portions including 'millionaires shortbread - the circumference was smaller than a 50 pence piece!

London's Sistine Chapel. If you don't want to go to Italy but still want to see Michelangelo's painting the Painted Hall is your closest option. Beautiful colours and full of history. Lying on the learher beds will give you a better view and will help you enjoy every bit of it. You will find books to read about the vast meaning of the painting and what it represents.
