The hidden gem of Knightsbridge! Easily my absolute fav spot to chill and enjoy great drinks and food alone or with friends in the heart of Knightsbridge! It has a cozy vibe, super friendly and smiling staff, exquisite interior design if you sit inside, great relaxing music and some of the best quality food and drinks you can find in London, for a really really good price range minding the notoriously pricey location , as it’s just behind Harrods! On my most recent visit I went with some friends and we decided to try their new food menu- I was so impressed with the super delicious dishes as previously I had thought of Walton Cafe mainly a cafe/brunch place. We got to try a few different starters: -The truffle fries- mouthwatering crispy fries, one of the best I’ve ever tried -The baby calamari with lemon and garlic sauce(I believe that’s what it was)- they were fire!!! loved loved the taste and the way they were cooked -The baby octopus with corn sauce- such a rich taste and interesting combination that tasted as good as it looked. -Casarecce homemade pasta with spinach and dried tomato sauce on top- a light and delicious pasta that worked really well as a starter and we all loved. -We also ordered 3 of their pinsas that reminded me so much of that authentic Italian fresh taste; the truffle one, the mortadella and pistachio one and the peperoni one- loved them all, but my favourite was truffle(I added some salt to my liking though). We had champagne and red wine(they had an amazing selection of best quality drinks-we had a wine from 1977) and we finished of with the tiramisu which was perfect and the right amount of sweet! We had such a lovely time and can’t wait to go back! I can’t say enough good words about this new business, and I absolutely highly recommend it to anyone! It has everything you need and more. You’ll maybe find your new fav little spot in London, so thank...

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience, although if you are local or a regular you likely will have a much better one.

We wanted to sit outside and despite there being several tables for 2 open, we were told they were unavailable (they remained empty during our entire visit). It was quite warm and uncomfortable inside.

Service was exceptionally slow and poor. We had to ask for butter and jam to go with our toast and were given one pat of butter for 2 large slices. No cream or sugar offered with coffee. No water, until we asked multiple times. Food arrived cold despite very few orders/ patrons. The staff spent most of their time arguing behind the bar and were only moderately attentive when the owners dropped in.

A couple outside had a much different experience than we did, food arrived hot, butter, multiple jams, salt pepper, hot sauce etc given. Cream & sugar with coffee, water refilled multiple times etc.

What really did it for me was when a group of Asian women came in as we were finishing up and they were treated even worse than us. They clearly asked for tap water and the waiter brought them a bottle of aqua panna and refused to take it back. The bottle was not opened and they kept saying no we asked for tap water. He opened and poured anyway. When they ordered their food, he kept saying yes 3 of everything despite them wanting one of 3 different dishes. We didn’t wait around for their food to be delivered but I do hope they were not overcharged for that.

Food had the potential to be very good, but poor service ruined the experience. Not recommended if...

Previous reviews indicate that this little restaurant can be good but is prone to rather disastrous lapses, as we found out for ourselves.

A first visit was very satisfactory with reasonable dishes, pleasant service, good coffee with which we were given complimentary slices of fig cake. So I booked to have another meal and indeed reconfirmed the reservation.

When we arrived the restaurant was full and we were offered a table on our own in a very dark and depressing basement. The young lady in charge acknowledged that she had failed to note our booking and keep a table for us but her apologies, although sincere, did not give us anything to eat or drink. I subsequently received a cancellation notice from the restaurant (to pre-empt a report on Open Table?)

This is a small operation and we would have liked to support it, but we have not heard...

Walton Cafe is an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing afternoon or catching up with friends. The menu offers a delightful array of options, from classic favorites to innovative creations, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every dish I've tried has been bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The staff are attentive and friendly, making sure every visit is a memorable one. Whether you're craving a delicious meal or simply want to enjoy a top-notch cup of coffee, Walton Cafe is the place to be. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Visited this place with a friend today. It was a huge disappointment. We ordered one fig salad, one seared tuna with peaches + 2 teas. The portion of tuna was two times smaller than shown on pictures from Google reviews. Basically we got 4 x 2 cm tiny strips of tuna. The worst thing was the teapots our tea was served in. They were extremely dirty inside and out (picture attached). Giving the place 1 star only because the staff was nice enough and exchanged the teapots within 15 minutes. We were not offered any discount or apology for the inconvenience. Definitely not going there again and would not recommend this cafe to anyone.
