Willow Bough Tea Rooms — Restaurant in London

Thought we'd the support the local business - however, found this to be quite average but way too overpriced for what it was. The cupcake we had was ok, nothing special, but the £2.50 cost is way beyond what I'd expect to pay for the quality.

Staff and service were nice, but unsure if I'll return given the high price and average quality.

UPDATE: reducing this to 1 star (from 2 stars previously) given response from management below.

1. Was not aware that we had to review straight after purchase, but this is irrelevant anyway;
2. Even though we always make a conscious effort to support local businesses, the quality and pricing needs to make sense

I truly believe its very poor form when businesses only take positive customer feedback on board..and disregard any criticism / be rude about the negative ones.

While I do hope that the business survives this challenging time, making a conscious effort to attract more customers would certainly...

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting Clare’s cake shop - and it was such a treat. I ordered a carrot cake, and I can honestly say it was the best I’ve ever had. The shop itself is stunning, filled with teacups, florals and sweet little decorative touches; you can tell Clare pours her heart into every detail. She was incredibly welcoming and generous with her time - we ended up chatting for a couple of hours, and she even gave me a tour of the charming Abbey Mills area, sharing local history along the way.

Wasnt impressed at all, for £25.50 PER PERSON it was poor, 1 x plain cupcake 1 x biscuit, 1 scone & 2 fingers of ham 2 x cucumber 3 egg & 5 fingers of salmon ( my friend ask for mor ham than salmon when booking up) the poor lady had no idea where anything was, we had to ask for napkins, knives, jam, plates all of which was brought out separately, my coffee was weak instant & served in a TEAPOT, I felt sorry for the lady, she had been sent from London to serve us, & had to go all the way back after as we were the only ones there for that day, it was lucky it was a sunny day, as inside there were 2 tables, it didn't smell nice (as it must have been shut up for a long time, it was cluttered, (like a storage room) I'm sorry but I wouldn't recommend it at all, maybe it was a one off but I was so sorry for my friend who kept apologising, as it was for my...
