Was booked a table in advance, with a group of 7 friends, looking forward to some good food after a long day about London. Took the staff a few mins to get us seated and then menus weren't provided until 15 minutes later. We got sat at a 6 person table, I myself sat in the cubby just above the stairs, then procedingly spent the entire meal freezing cold. (the entrance door was closed, just a few delivery drives in and out) Had to call staff over to even order after waiting 10/15 minutes for them to check on us. Out of 7 drinks only 4 came out, asked about the other 3, they bought out 2. The guy then gave us the final drink "on the house" when it shouldn't have to be, it's not that difficult to bring out seven drinks when 6 of them are just regular fizzy cokes/fanta. One was a strawberry daquiri which was one of the three original missing, but that having a wait time is fair. Saw my fanta on the side for about 5-10 minutes before it actually arrived at the table, so much so the ice was nearly melted, and the straw slightly soaked. Food came out in partials. Starters were cold. Mains all came out seperatly-- dishes that had ordered rice with them recieved it way after the main dish. Boyfriend who ordered Thai green curry got the rice about 10 mins after the actually curry itself, jasmine rice, it was cold and sticky, almost like a brick in the dish it came. Three pad thai's that came out, one seperate from the other two. Got a nice sushi plater to share, courtesy of a friend in which pretty much all of them had a glob of wasabi on top. some literally had the cheap looking/tasting crabs sticks that you'd buy from the supermarket in them. I got the Katsu curry, where the only thing actually hot was the sauce. rice was lukewarm and the chicken itself was also cold-ish.
Cane to the bill and there was a 10% service fee on there. It's London, tipping is a common thing but I'm not paying an additional £15/£20 on top when the service was so bad, so asked it to be removed. The guy thought I wanted to pay all the service fee until I had to correct him again. Spent £180 between us all (£195 with the fee) and nearly 2 hours there just to come out all feeling slightly nauseous.
The restaurant were supposedly short staffed, missing one person on the day we went, but seemed to happily serve what I believe were their regulars quicker than ever, some favouritism here and there. offered to return for a better experiance with 40% off. I highly doubt that, and will definitely not be returning. First impressions make a big mark on customers. Thank you for the very minimal hospitality and awful service. Hope it gets...

Read moreWent on recommendation from halal food guy. Service was friendly and helpful. But short staffed I think. Had to wait a while for my second drink, which is a bit annoying when you're eating and want your drink with it, not after it. And no one came to ask of everything was OK, so couldn't ask for a knife.
Also, I don't understand the stools for seating. No one would want to sit on them when out dining. Not even a child. They need replacing. I get they go with the look, but they look painful and dead uncomfortable.
Other than that, this place is on its way to being a hidden gem.
Food was very delicious overall. I think if they take on board customer feedback and improve some dishes... it'll definitely be a place people return too. I'd go back to try out other dishes on their menu which sounded yummy.
We ordered the wings which were tasty, and the starters platter which was all amazing (the prawns were my favourite) ... it was all fresh and yummy apart from the fish cakes which looked sad and sloppy - not fresh and crisp. The chicken sticks were the juiciest and most succulent I've ever had. So tender and juicy!
The mains... I ordered nasi goreng which was delicious! Absolutely loved it. So punchy in flavour!
Husband ordered pad thai which he said was nice, but I thought it was really not all that. This is the second place I've tried pad thai and not been keen. Maybe it's a local dish that isn't as flavour packed as other dishes, because in both places I've thought it has massively lacked in flavour.
Blue mohito was so refreshing and tasty. I don't order mohitos, because they usually taste like cheap fizz dressed up. Blue mohito was awesome! I ended up getting another.
Lastly... toilets being clean, are a deal breaker for me! Yes! If a place can't keep it's toilets clean, visible to their customers, I don't want to know how my foods prepared.
Very clean and fresh toilets. Need to rethink the ramp access to the ladies one though. Us ladies wear heels! I appreciate the ladies being further out of sight than the gents, but that ramp made me feel as though I'm gonna go head first!
Lovely place to at least try. Would recommend and will be returning after a while. Hopefully after they've made some...
