Woolley’s — Restaurant in London

I stopped eating here a while back as I found the staff rude a year or two ago, but gave it another chance. The food is ok, but overpriced and I was put out by the extra charges for eating in. I am aware of the current VAT laws but the advertised price on the board didn’t mention any differences or an eat in surcharge, and many cafe’s have just altered their pricing. So, I was annoyed at the till to be charged £2 extra on my meal, basically a 30% increase (i.e more than the VAT anyway) on a meal advertised at £5.95. It’s the principle of the thing. I felt deceived...

It felt like home-made. Great variety and delicious food. Their chicken pesto pasta might be one of the best pastas I've tasted. The lentils and veggies were great too. Slightly spicier than mild. Perfect for winter and not burning your taste buds.

The service was impeccable. Everyone was nice and quick. The gentleman let me have a two spoons of pasta after I eat a full plate of lentils and chicken.

Good breakfast & lunch in a very cosy atmosphere..Staff is very friendly. In the morning you can get a fresh croissant with a good coffee as well as a rich menu with delicious eggs / omelettes. During lunch they have a big salad buffet, real hot food ( both vegan and meat options), a daily soup as well as a big sandwich bar. You can eat in or take away. There are also a few tables to sit outside. Always a pleasure to visit...
