First time experience . All pakistan's food you can get here . Everything you find here is just nice . Taste is nice . You can get starters , main course , Afghani food ,chicken dishes , mutton , beef and fish dishes !! Here you can find wine ,beer and other drinks etc. Good place to dine and wine 🙂 On weekends specially friday and saturday it full to the limit ! Yoh have to go there and note down your name in the waiting list ! No reservations on these days as the resturant is full with people !! So beaware of the rush on weekends as the waiting time would be half an hour to one hour !! There was a big afghani chapati (bread) it was on hanger type thing . You can see in the pictures i shared below 🙂 you can order pilau as well . All pakistan's cultural food is available there . I enjoyed my mojito very much with raspberries in it !❤ The big huge chapati was awesome . I ordered garlic and the plain one ! Garlic one is the most recomended to everyone if they like garlic ! In deserts they had koya kulfi . It was just superb . It was yummy and scrumptious . I had two haha . This is highly recomended for kulfi lovers !! It is made of dried whole milk or milk thickened by heating in an open iron pan. It becomes khoya as it is called in pakistan's language !! And they drizzled strawberry or choclate syrup of some kind ! So you can have desert you want to have . In the end you have green tea or kashmiri tea as it is known in pakistan ! It is called (pink tea )as well as it is beautifull tea pink colour ! Overall i loved the food ,dinning and service . Ambiance is really nice . All Waiters were really nice thoes who came to serve . . One of the waiters who took the order from us brought the sauce so many times as he knew i loved that very much . Without being rude he served us well . I was very happy as sometimes they get put off or become rude when ever you ask them many times !! But he served well and was very helping !

Food was average, but the service was absolutely rubbish. 👎🏾 Food: Curries were no good. Chicken tikka starters seemed like they were fried? Lamb chops were nice though – I don’t really eat them, but the mandem confirmed them at an 8.5/10. Other than that, nothing special. The rest of the food was under a 5/10. I gave them a second chance based on past experience, but the curries still lack flavour. Honestly, if you’re thinking about ordering curries, just cook at home – message me and I’ll give you a recipe that’s ten times better (no toilets will be destroyed). Also, no sauces were given – what restaurant serves starters without sauces? Service: Main course came out first, starters came out ten minutes later. Asked for a jug of water – never received it. They sent out J2Os without shaking it, so we sent it back. Not even sure if they gave us fresh ones or just stuck their thumbs on top and shook it in the kitchen. I guess we’ll never know 🤷🏾‍♂️ Hopefully, they had clean hands and no butts were scratched or bogeys picked. 🙏🏾 Atmosphere: Very hectic. Seating arrangements are awkward. You can’t even take photos because people start looking at you like you’re trying to take a photo of them. Tables are tiny. Chairs are okay, but the next table is basically part of yours – feels like one big communal place. If you’re not in a booth, you’ve probably got about 20cm between you and the next table. Unfortunately, there was no redemption here after the last time. I feel sorry for anyone coming here for curry – make sure you have the 🧻 ready. Good luck. May the Almighty protect you. Akbars, if you want a redemption number 3, you’re going to have to be on treats next time – because I ain’t paying for that 💩 For now, I’d recommend you land yourselves at Jilanis instead – similar food, better price, better service. Don’t say I don’t look out for you boys. 🫡

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Just go if you really looking for authentic Indian food! This is the best so far I have found in England ( coz am from london, yea I been been to most popular ones only and can’t say they are even close to Akbar’s) This was recommended by a dear friend and during this trip of mine, we decided to give it a go! With all the mixed reviews, I had was expecting average experience but I must say I AM BLOWN AWAY WITY THE FOOD AND SERVICE!!! Why? Read on… PRO : Food 10/5 Very flavourful, delicious, soul satisfying, perfect level of spiciness!! Food we ordered: chicken tikka - 3/5 Chicken tandoori masala - 10/5 Sauce platter - chilli chutney was nice! Lamb rogan Josh - 10/5 Garlic naan ( not family) : 10/5 Gulab Jamun with ice cream 5/5 ( better if this is served in a bowl than a plate) this is huge and good for 2 people!!! - Zaif who took our order should have guided us better but glad we dint order 2 else it would have gone wasted. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service 5/5 : Exceptional Service is impeccable. We were served by Zaif, Vishnu, Alif and one more. You must be thinking why so many? That is because, they are very prompt!! - Special mention - VISHU! he is a star! The mutton rogan Josh we ordered was seno from / less saucy. After tasting, I requested if they could get some curry ( without the meat) and he said “ no problem”. He took away the dish and got it the level of sauciness I wanted with no change is taste! I was worried with redoing the taste might get compromised but I am extremely pleased with the customer obsession they displayed! 👌👌👌👌👌 Price 10/5 : VALUE FOR MONEY!! We paid 41 pounds for all of this!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Location - not too far from tram CON : it’s noisy 🎧, paratha was not available! THANK YOU CHEF, Raja Akhtar ( I think was the second name)

‘PAY THE BILL AND GET OUT OF HERE’ My family and I have been to many countries worldwide so as to many restaurants all over the world but we never had to face this kind of ridiculous staff behaviour which we experienced in this Akbar Restaurant. It was on Eid Day and my wife suggested to go there as she been to Akbar Restaurant in Rotherham and she liked it there. We ordered the food as normal and we were expecting to have a good lunch, food comes in and we felt that it is spicier than usual, children complain about it however we said lets continue eating and it may feel better. At the middle of our lunch we felt that it was too spicy to bare and we decided to finish our lunch with the left-over food. We just called the waiter and informed him about the food and he started to argue with us that we should not eat it even half if it was not spicy, we just told him to call his manager as we just wanted to register a complain and there was no intention for anything else. Manage comes in and we explained the situation to him and instead of any apologies he started to argue with us that we should inform them at the start of the food and now we have eaten it, we explained him that we don’t want anything from you but only to correct the waiter and his behaviour that if they are going to prepare the food this spicy they must ask customer for their choice of spicy food which they never asked. Manager seemed to be unhappy on our complain and didn’t want to listen anything and just kept talking about the same point and he never had a word out of his mouth which we call ‘SORRY’ instead he blamed us for everything. Things got even worse than that when he said ‘PAY THE BILL AND GET OUT OF HERE’, my family really got angry because of this ridiculous behaviour from the Manager named NOOR, he even threatened me and my family that if we meet him outside he is gonna teach us a lesson, this was another unacceptable behaviour and my wife and one of our daughters really got mad about that and they started to shout at him because of his behaviour. I thought not to write this review for many days, however I want to help other customers who might visit this restaurant and face same kind of behaviour, again intention is to correct their staff behaviour and avoid having this again with other customers, nothing else. Hope this...

This is my first time eating at akbars and as most the reviews also indicate, the food is good but the service is trash. • We called up an hour before on Christmas Eve asking if it’s mandatory we book a table due to the holiday season but the waiter told us we can just walk in. As we walked in we had to wait 15-20 minutes for a table to free up. • There were 2 of us and we were seated at a singular small table with just about enough space for one plate of food. As we ordered a decent amount of food we asked if the EMPTY table next to us could be joined to our table to provide more space or if we could move to one of the 2 empty booths behind us but we were told no and that this was a ‘managers decision’ but the couples on our left and right had their tables joined together to accommodate the amount of food they had ordered so whether this was because we were 2 women or what? I’m not sure but once the food came (which chefs run the food by the way as the servers stand around doing nothing but avoiding eye contact or running away from the customers If you try call one over for extra tissues or cutlery) • The chef was very helpful and moved us to a bigger booth and knew we couldn’t be expected to eat 2 curries, a huge naan and multiple side dishes on a tiny one seater table. • Certain drinks were missed off our order which we couldn’t even amend because the servers refused to come back to our table and not a single server checked if everything was ok with our meal after taking our order but were constantly checking up on tables of big groups of men, offering them extra drinks and starters which said enough. • Had to wait around 15 minutes for someone to finally bring us our bill which we should’ve honestly walked out without paying and I doubt the servers would have even noticed • The only reason I give this place 2 stars is because of the nice chef and the food was of decent quality but the service completely ruined our night and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to family or friends, there are many Indian food hot spots in Manchester with equally good food AND service that makes you feel good about spending your money in an establishment where you were treated with respect and where they’re attentive to a customers needs. Lots of improvement necessary in akbars service...
