We came here today for brunch for the first time after spending weeks building excitement looking at their instagram page. We went in expecting a traditional brunch/ coffee house experience but we left slightly disappointed. From the get go both my husband and I found it odd that you had to not only take your own menu but find your own seat. We weren’t greeted or acknowledged at the door short of a nod from one of the staff members. We found an empty table that was still unclean from the previous customers. This wouldn’t have been an issue if it was addressed quickly but we had to wait 15 minutes before someone came to clean. We ordered our food at the bar which was then followed by a half an hour wait for it to arrive. Frankly, we were not sure why the order took so long. No one checked in on us at the time and we were one of the only two tables ordering food, everyone else seemed to be there for coffee. When the food did arrive we could immediately tell it had been sitting out for a while. It was cold, the fries were wilted and the bread was soggy. We were disappointed as we could tell that it would have been delicious if it had been served at the right temperature. Overall, while the atmosphere and the food quality were both very good, the service massively let everything down. I’ve never been in a restaurant where I had to take charge of pretty much my whole experience. For the price I do believe there are much better brunch places in Manchester and I may be willing to give it another chance but not any time soon. If I was you I’d give...
Read moreI recently visited ‘Haunt’ for a coffee and brunch, and it left me with mixed impressions. The food was good; I opted for a sandwich, and the ingredients inside were flavorful and enjoyable. However, I couldn’t help but wish that the bread had been toasted instead of being warmed in a microwave. It’s those small details that can make a big difference in the overall experience.
As for the coffee, while I’m not a coffee expert, I did notice a slightly burnt taste that didn’t quite align with my preferences. However, the latte art was well-executed, adding a nice touch to the presentation. Despite my personal taste preferences, I still found it to be an alright cup of coffee.
In summary, ‘Haunt’ has its strengths, particularly in the quality of ingredients in their food and the skillful latte art. However, there are some areas, like the where it might benefit from a bit of refinement. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the area and looking for a cozy spot, but it may not be...

From the moment we walked in, our waitress seemed to have a level of distain for us that should be reserved for the current political leadership. I'm not sure why, maybe because we had a young baby with us (who was sleeping), or maybe because it was Saturday morning and she would rather not be there. Worth noting that they weren't particularly busy (which in hindsight should have been a giveaway).
We ordered our food at the bar, and half our tables order came quickly. It wasn't until almost an hour later that the rest of the food turned up... No explanation as to why, we just kept being told it was on its way.
When it did arrived, we asked for some complimentary coffees, which they then tried to charge us for! We had to get the manager and explain what had happened. No real apology, but they begrudgingly agreed to comp the coffees.
The food was reasonable when it did arrive, but we'd never go back, as the experience...
