I arrived to HOP after a bleh day and was greeted by the world best bearded host. He gave me recommendations (for those interested, the professionals recommend the lemongrass curry over the satay), was open and ready for a chat (not in a 'forced upon you' kind of way, but in a 'I'm smiley and if you start talking I'll engage' kind of way). Then proceeded to action the order ridiculously fast. I must have been waiting only three minutes. And in that time, he also managed to notice a guy bothering me and support me advocating for myself in a calm and decided manner. 10/10 for service. I then decided to eat in - I normally opt for outside, but ended up going downstairs, which is kind of laid out like something you'd see on the set of a retro movie. Really cool and cheerfully coloured. I'm a big fan of a booth seat too. The food itself? Great! I've had the pho before and now the curry. I'm trying to tick it all off my bucket list. Maybe tick off a vegan vietnamese tea too because I've always fancied it. The cider was great and the slaw is not worth missing out on, even for extra rice. Next time I might order it as a side too! I also have gluten, dairy and coriander allergies. This makes the option to order via the screens really good because it means I can see the list of allergens on the meal, as well as input it into the order. Blooming marvellous all round. Also fabby as...

I recently visited HOP Vietnamese in Manchester, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was excellent fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Whether you’re into pho or any other Vietnamese classics, you’ll find something to enjoy here. I was really impressed with how quickly everything came out while maintaining such high quality.

The service was also top-notch. Not only were the staff friendly and attentive, but I even received a free fortune cookie for being the first customer of the day—a lovely touch that made the experience feel even more special.

The space itself is great, with both upstairs and downstairs seating. Whether you’re dining solo or with a group, there’s plenty of room. Plus, the jukebox adds a fun, laid-back vibe to the atmosphere.

Overall, I highly recommend HOP Vietnamese. It’s a great spot to grab a tasty meal in a relaxed setting. I’ll...

Food was good.

More leaving this review for the service. The staff weren’t smiling, only 1 iPad to order from. The rest are broken. No Kiosk, so the queue was huge. Not until I saw they did click and collect did I think to use it to order and skip the growing queue. Told everyone in the queue. Told a staff member they should tell customers about it. It would save them getting upset at staff in the queue. Got snarled at by the lad with long blonde hair about that. I was polite. They also closed 2 hours early, decided to tell me this as they gave me my food…I could have kicked up a fuss but I left with takeout instead, must have been a long day but doesn’t excuse the service.

I’ve worked in service, this was just awful, especially for a place that’s just opened. A long way to go before you give the quality service like your other restaurant in the...

This is a new place in town which is on the corner of Market St. You order using the self service so there's no customer service. They have a halal menu option which makes it easy to order and an option to create your own box and meal deal options. We opted for the chicken curry and satay curry. I was surprised to see there were no wooden chopsticks. Portions are ideal for lunch. The satay sauce was nice but the chicken was cut into very small pieces and the meal was expensive for the amount of chicken served in the dish. Vegetable dumplings tasted ok. Food was served quickly and it wasn't too busy. We went around 4pm. I'd like to see more options on the menu. Plenty of seating downstairs.

Not bad at all! Judging as a fast food joint, the food was excellent, the pulled mushroom noodle salad and veggie dumplings especially. Really liked the branding and user experience, food was served in a basket and all neatly packaged. We went for the full on meal deal which was good value - main, side and a drink. Food was hot, fresh and basking with flavour, even if it was additive-centric. Liked the free digital jukebox, nice touch though seemed too many Swifties ate there. In all, thought it was great and will be back. Definitely give it a go!
