So, don't let what I'm about to say put you off going here. The pizza is good...it's just not very good. Hopefully my feedback will be taken onboard by those running Rudy's, as some very simple improvements could make this a very good pizza place. So what are my gripes...well... Whilst the pizza station staff are hard at work doing their best...the front of house staff need to do better. First problem was I was served the wrong beer...not what I ordered. Turns out that I'd ordered was no longer available. That's fine, and I was offered an alternative after turning down what had been served to me. But by the time I left the original beer I'd ordered, which was seemingly unavailable, was still on the specials board. Action: if you've run out, take the minute it takes to delete it from the board and write up the replacement. Unfortunately my incorrect beer was followed by an attempt to serve me and incorrect pizza. I turned it down and the server wandered off to find out what had gone wrong, but just the fact that this happened added to the disappointment so far. 3, Eventually my correct pizza turned up, but this was 40mins after ordering. Sure it was moderately busy, but not stowed. If serving a single diner during this volume of customers takes 40 mins 8 hate to think what happens when it's really busy One of the problems that may be contributing to the timelines is the use of one single shelf pizza oven. There's an assembly line of pizza assembly but then one guy shuffling a handful of pizzas around one single shelf oven. For a place this size you really need to invest in a second oven...or at least a two shelfer. Pizza quality... I am being a little picky here as the pizza is good by comparison with about 75% of places. However, if you're going to populate the place with pizza cookbooks and pizza bibles highlighting your own credentials as a place for good pizza, you are raising the expectations. My pizza was slightly undercooked resulting in a slightly squashy and doughy base...nothing that an extra few seconds in the oven, or a more even stretching of the dough couldn't resolve. More pizza quality points...if you're going to offer extra toppings, make it worthwhile. My extra roquito peppers consisted of 7 of those lovely morsels spread sparingly across my pizza. Similarly, if I order a pizza with anchovies , I expect to have anchovies in each bite, not to be eating a slice and suddenly remember my pizza has anchovies because I just came across them after several mouthfuls without a trace. Like I say I'm being slightly harsh to try to improve the place, if they're listening. I'd go back to see if they've improved, but I wouldn't rave about the place to friends until I see such...

TLDR: Amazing pizza, reasonable prices - definitely recommend!

Came here for a Valentine's Day lunch, expecting nothing but the best from a Neapolitan pizza place - and it delivered.

Greeted by incredibly friendly staff, with Josh serving for us that day - huge shout-out to him. He made sure we were well attended to, despite it being incredibly busy.

The entire establishment was an incredibly comforting atmosphere. We sat right in front of the pizza oven and the pizza-assembly area, an absolute delight to watch. The menu itself however did seem fairly confusing, but incredibly detailed. Thankfully, we were given enough time to actually find out exactly what everything meant.

We both ordered Nocellara (Green) Olives as a starter, whilst I had the Carni pizza (with fresh chilli), and my girlfriend ordered the Calabrese pizza. All of the above were spectacular, with the pizza bursting with incredible flavour and cooked perfectly throughout. I can vouch for the Carni if you love a meaty pizza like I do, with chilli's if you like the spice. Whilst I thought the Calabrese was a bit boring, my girlfriend loved it. She would definitely recommend.

It was a little busy, as to be expected for a Saturday lunchtime on Valentine's Day. This did contribute to a substantial wait between ordering and getting our pizza (and we were starving), hence the single star knocked off from the score. Easily could've been 5 stars otherwise, but sadly didn't meet that incredibly high bar.

Whilst it may be slightly more expensive than other places (£26.60 in total), it was definitely worth it for the food and experience alone. It was incredibly filling, and we didn't need to eat for the rest of the day.

Will definitely come back here again! Amazing pizza, and reasonable prices - what's...

"Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana in Manchester is a fantastic spot for both dinner and dessert. During my recent visit to Manchester, I had the pleasure of dining there on two occasions. I highly recommend sitting at the pizza bar/counter, where you can enjoy the delightful spectacle of pizzas being made right before your eyes. The restaurant boasts a spacious, open layout, though it can get quite lively, which might not be ideal for those seeking a quiet dining experience.

The menu offers a variety of delicious options, including gluten-free and vegetarian choices. However, the quality of the dining experience largely depends on the servers. While some can make your visit wonderful, others may leave you feeling underwhelmed. It's worth noting that the lack of uniforms among the staff can make it a bit challenging to distinguish between employees and customers.

Nevertheless, the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable, with some servers adding a touch of fun to the experience. On my first visit, our server was friendly, professional, and provided helpful recommendations for pizza and wine pairings. Unfortunately, my second visit was marred by a server who seemed less than enthusiastic about serving us. Despite this, the outstanding service during the initial visit encouraged us to stay, and we were rewarded with delicious Rudy’s Chocolate gelato.

In the end, Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana offers delicious pizzas and a few exceptional servers, making it a worthwhile dining...

As a tourist visiting Manchester, dining at Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana – Peter Street was truly one of the highlights of my trip. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm, lively atmosphere and the irresistible aroma of fresh dough baking in the wood-fired oven. We started with the garlic bread, which was nothing short of heavenly – light and airy with a perfectly crisp crust, buttery flavor, and just the right touch of garlic that melts in your mouth. Then came the pizzas, and they were a true masterpiece. The dough was thin yet delightfully chewy, with beautifully charred edges that added a smoky depth of flavor. The toppings were fresh, balanced, and bursting with taste, clearly made with quality ingredients. I highly recommend trying their garlic sauce — it’s so delicious that it could be enjoyed all on its own. One thing to note: Rudy’s is extremely popular, so making a reservation is essential. Even with a booking, you might still have to wait for a table, but believe me, it’s absolutely worth it. From the food to the atmosphere, everything about this place delivers an authentic and memorable dining experience. For me, it’s without question a five-star spot that I’d return to in a heartbeat.
