Came here for halal sunday roast. Car park close by, but its located in spinning fields so wouldnt be difficult to get to from city centre. Upon entering didn't get greeted by lady at the desk, no bye or thankyou or have a nice day upon leaving either. For this type of establishment you would expect that. Service is OK, they are attentive, however we went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't particularly busy. We hadn't booked either and were a walk in group of 5. The restaurant itself is lovely. Not the usual floral decor that seems to be in every restaurant these days but its more of a neutral elegant vibe. Food, we ordered dynamite prawns for starters, one portion comes with 4 large prawns. We also ordered cheesey cauliflower, this was ok, but tasted a bit bland. For the main roast, we got a mix of wagu beef, salmon, and chicken. Each comes with the same trimmings, a few carrots, parsnip, roasted potatoes and a huge yorkshire pud. Portion itself was good, however we felt like it lacked a bit of flavour and at times the food definitely needed the gravy that was offered. I would say there are better Sunday roasts, in terms of flavour and trimmings. The desserts on offer was a tiramisu and apple crumble. Apple crumble was very creative, this is a bit like a poached apple with ice cream. The tiramisu was lovely, packed with coffee flavour and light and fluffy. One person in our group ordered the carribean crush mocktail. This was very underwhelming and tasted almost like orange cordial. However they do have a large drinks selection. Overall, it wasn't terrible but it wasnt the best either. It was satisfactory but the atmosphere was chill. Someone was celebrating a birthday and staff brought out a sparkler in a dessert. I'd say roughly with drinks and starters its around £30-40 pp which isn't too bad for a Sunday roast in the city centre.

Visited this place today for our wedding anniversary. The interior is absolutely beautiful šŸ˜ Perfect for any occasion. For food, we ordered the bang bang chicken, bao buns, hummus, gnocchi, and Ribeye Steak. My favourite was the bao buns, they were sooo delicious and full of flavour. Hubby loved his steak and said that it was cooked to perfection šŸ‘Œ the only downside was they only gave 2 small cherry tomatoes, definitely would have been nice to include more to it. The other downside was the fries, overly crispy and can hardly taste the potato in it. Personally, I feel with such a good steak, we definitely need fat cut chips! The bang bang chicken was another favourite, we really enjoyed this. Gnocchi was nice. However, I found the sauce to be overly salty, so I didn't enjoy It as much. The hummus was nice however the disappointment to that was, for the size of the hummus, the pitta was not enough, so sadly, we couldn't finish the hummus. I think portions are something this place really needs to work on mainly. For drinks, we ordered the passion and mango with coconut mocktail. Now that was amazing, one of the BEST mocktails I have had, thanks to Ian who recommended this to us and did a fab job! Thanks to Melissa, who looked after us so well and catered to anything we needed, she's a Star! The staff customer service definitely made the evening better. The evening ended nicely with a complimentary cake for our anniversary which was soooo delicious! Overall definately a place to visit. Small areas need tweeking, but other than that, great evening! Thanks again Ian and Melissa for making our anniversary meal so enjoyable....

Over all 4 stars...let me explain. We were a table of 8 so we ordered quick a few things. Staff are very friendly and polite. In fact they are quick and eager to look after you. Food was pretty good. Dynamite praws, lamb borek, houmous and olives were 9/10. Chicken bang bang is just frozen chicken fried, coated in chilli sauce 4/10. Not exactly worth £15. Steak options were great everyone enjoyed that from chicken to Irish wagyu. 9/10 The green Pepper corn was tasty BUT the chimchurri sauce was not what you expect. I think they don't know what a chimchurri sauce is beacuse it was just oil no spice no taste. Didn't even touch it. The fries were cooked right and were crispy as expected. We only got soft drinks as we don't drink. Pepsi was just over powering sweet syrup and hardly any fizz but looking around the table it was the same with diet Pepsi too so I guess that's how the machine is calibrated...very poor selection of soft drinks available. One of the glasses had lipstick marks on it when it arrived clearly quality check of washing is no the strong point and they one of the pot of chumchurri sauce while the guy was holding it he tilted and dropped the oil over a coat. Not ideal but they were quick to get it cleaned. Dont worry we still paid the service charge of £63+ Parking is not great though NCP car park is bear by...got out seating under heaters. The bill was £450+ for 8 people + 2 rounds of drinks each including the service charge. They said they still had a new year's offer on so they gave us 30% off. So guess normally you're looking at £550+.

The sum up for this place is how can something so right go so wrong. It looks beautiful from the outset and inside however, we arrived and were greeted with a nonchalant and almost dismissive front of house who told us we needed to wait by the bar before being seated. Upon entering you could mistake yourself for being in a nightclub for how loud it was. I don’t think I could hear myself think because of how loud it was. Upon being at the bar the bartender approached to take some drinks orders and upon us about to ask questions about the drinks menu the same front of house came over to rush us to our table now in a normal world you don’t just cut someone off mid conversation so I finished my sentence and then came over with the front of house staff member to our table.

Now normally we wouldn’t mind where we are sat however there was two of us and rather than be next to the speakers I asked if it was possible to be sat further back in the back of the restaurant so we could hear each other talk. So now we are trying to read the menu but it’s so loud I honestly could not concentrate. Whilst our hosts at the table were attentive I must say it was no where near up to par for what you spend here.

They asked if we want any drinks for the table to which I asked for water with ice and lemon.

We received water but not ice or lemons to which I asked our host who brought it out however lime instead of lemon and no spoon or anything to pour ice into my glass so I was having to pull ice cubes out and put them into my glass and my partners. Again I think the core issue is the music is so loud that even the hosts can’t hear in there who were having to crouch down and physically ask and repeat several times to confirm. The host also did not have a clue about any wine options and I was having to give a lesson in pairing.

So one of hosts returns and tells me the table we asked for were reserved for larger groups meanwhile I’m watching the front of house escort a party for 2 over to the very table we asked for.

As we finally decided what we wanted for our dinner options I must say all our food came in a timely fashion however when serving they did not remember who ordered what and they spilled the sauce I asked for afterwards to which they offered to swap and clean the spill however I said no to which they just left it. At a place that charges this extortion amount I must say it’s the service that lacks completely here.

The gnocchi was lovley, temperatures all correct Chicken bang bang was layered with peppers and not made great Chicken sumac was lovley but portion size is awful

The overall for here is save your money because for the amount you spend here you should demand such better service than the poor quality delivered here. As someone who frequents dining establishments around Manchester I was left offended and with a poor taste in my mouth to see the bill which came to £160+

For those looking for an experience go around the corner to ivy Asia where they make service and dining look like an art form.

I don’t have any hope for here as a long term established restaurant in Manchester due to the lack of attention after it is fed back to staff who completely dismissed me.

At the end of it we both equally wanted to leave because of the colossal headache we had here. More a forgettable trauma than a...

We ordered steak, ā€˜creamy’ mash, mac n cheese, prawns, a chicken tapas and chicken kabsa and some soft drinks.

Let’s start with the tapas, 3 prawns were placed on some leafy salad and drenched as sauce for Ā£15. These tasted as if they were shop bought and put in the air fryer and then smothered in a tangy tasteless sauce. The chicken bites were hidden within a lathering of coleslaw and again tasted as if you got some Costco fried chicken cut into pieces and put them in air fryer.

Moving onto the mains, the kabsa had some flavour to it but it may as well have been uncle bens microwave rice with a strip of chicken place on top. As an Arab I’m offended that you called this kabsa. The steak was the only decent thing on the menu but this was chewy and had no flavour to it whatsoever.

The sides; mac n cheese was the worst Mac n cheese I’ve ever had in my life. It was a bit of macroni with cheese melted on top, was dry and again no flavour. The creamy mash was just potatoes mashed up and no cream to it whatsoever it was dry and I needed to wash it out with some water. Unfortunately the cups provided for the water I did ask for was dirty. Not only this but the cups the so called lemonade was poured into were dirty too, with something floating around at the top. I say so called lemonade as it was not lemonade but in fact carbonated water with a slice of lemon in it. You could have potentially tricked me by adding more lemons but I was not fooled.

As for the service, we reserved this place and were put directly next to the door despite it being very cold and there were plenty of more spaces. Not only this we had no service check, we couldn’t get anyone’s attention, so if I wanted to highlight any of this aforementioned disappointment I wouldn’t have been able to, therefore it has made me to leave this review so people do not make the same mistake and waste there money.

We traveled two hours to eat at this restaurant to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. My pregnant sister was very upset with this. The bill came to roughly Ā£112 but we managed to ask for the service charge to be removed. Don’t waste your time on this so called habibi because it wasn’t loveable...
