I went to this place as my bus was leaving late and it was open and I like Indian food. I had with me my suite case, ruck sack and another bag. When I went inside the waiter ushered me to the back although it was clearly not busy in the front where I wanted to sit, he made up some excuse about the number of people. So ok sat in the back, I ordered my food and asked for mild curry, I can handle it too hot. it was good food, then as I bit down on what I thought was a bean my mouth burned and my tong felt like it was literally on fire and it really hurt, I immediately asked for yoghurt as it the thing to eat, they looked at me as if I was crazy!! I was in so much pain, but it took about 5 minutes to get me the yoghurt... yikes. and still it hurt after eating the first bowl. I had to get another one,. then of course i couldn't finish the rest of my meal. and asked for it to take away, which seemed to annoy the waiter. WOW! Now if this was my restraint I would be apologizing and give the meal on the house, instead the waiter lied to me and said he gave me it for cheaper and then over charged one of my orders. and it wasn't about the 20p it was principle. I found the service and attitude a disgrace... It's right beside a bus station, what do they expect? As a traveler I have been to many places and have been treated like a queen. I felt that because I had my bags with me and was not "dressed up" I was treated like a waif or something. If i didn't ha e to give a star rating I wouldn't give anything... not a good place to go! I do not recommend...
Read moreNot the best Indian to me, i think it is more catered towards the English culture (watered down flavour ) That is who was attracted to this restaurant too. (English people)
I got two fish dishes, as a pescetarian was very worried that it tasted like chicken? The manager ate the meal and replaced mine, saying it was 100percent fish, cod fish? The waiter "watched over" the chef and I got a second plate, which looked and tastes completely different than the first plate? My main course was a fish curry, after one bite I refused to eat the rest, the batter was burnt and the curry slodgy, and looked like pureed baby food. I refused to eat the rest of it.
Luckily the manager didn't charge me for it, but he did debate that it is fried twice, so that's why it tastes burnt? I didn't understand that...
but we obviously paid for our dinner and left . Great service. Nice atmosphere. Not the best food in my...
Read moreAwful. Was given raw meat on the 2nd attempt to correct my wrong meal in the first place. When i mentioned i wouldn't be paying for my curry as id been given raw meat the staff became quite rude i was told whatever the customer is always right and in this instance the customer was right. When it came to paying the card was snatched from my friends hand and tapped on machine without permission which was then declined because we was charged £312 instead of the £31.20 bill. AVOID!! I was sick after leaving the restaurant and struggled to sleep that night as i couldn't believe what had happened at a curry house id visited three years previous and had a fantastic meal. What in the world has happened in the...
