Giovanni's Downtown Gelato — Restaurant in Milton Keynes

Thanks to Nikhil's extraordinary service, which made the gelato experience the best I've ever had!

I visited this Giovanni gelato shop recently, and while the flavors were absolutely amazing, what truly stood out was the incredible service from Nikhil . He created a whole experience that made me want to come back before I’d even finished my cup.

From the second I walked in, Nikhil greeted me with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. He asked what kinds of flavors I liked and really took the time to listen. I told him I was into nutty flavors, and right away he said, You have to try the pistachio — it's made with real imported pistachios from Sicily, no fake stuff. He offered me a sample, and he wasn’t exaggerating — it tasted so fresh and natural, you could tell it was made with high-quality ingredients.

I ended up ordering the pistachio and Dubai chocolate and Nikhil served it with real care. He made sure If I wanted to try any other flavors for next time. You could tell he genuinely wanted me to enjoy every part of the experience.

What impressed me most was his attitude — super friendly, thoughtful, and really passionate about what he does. He treated every customer with the same energy and attention, and that’s rare these days.

The ice cream here is definitely worth coming for — rich, creamy, and full of real flavor — but honestly, Nikhil’s service is what will keep me coming back. Can’t recommend...

I stopped here after leaving Build-A-bear Workshop with my 3 year old daughter. She got very excited when she saw Giovanni's as she really likes their ice cream. We stood in the area where you are supposed to queue and watched while they served two other people that walked up after us on the other sides of the booth. I managed to grab the attention of a female member of staff and asked for a scoop of a vanilla in a tub. She advised that she needed to get some more out of the storage area. Whilst doing this she somehow got side tracked and served two other customers. After the second customer I asked how long it was going to be for our order. She simply replied "Oh, I forgot about your order. What did you want?" No apology, I told her again what we would like and she completed our order.

Very disappointing but unfortunately not the first time I've had poor service. Keep going back because the ice cream really is that good.

What an incredible place to visit! I must say I have been so impressed with the service at Giovanni’s every time we visit. Staff are super friendly and welcoming and ever so patiently when it takes me so long what gelato to choose from haha! They have an incredible selection of flavours and something for the whole family.. If you’re looking for a recommendation I would definitely say try the milkybar.. it’s so tasty and creamy! The staff are also great with my son who is autistic and they go above and beyond every time which is why we always return because it truly doesn’t get any better than this!
