As a rule I normally try to find some positives within a bad experience, but on this occasion I cannot! On asking if one of the staff could wipe down the table before we sat down with our order, I was told to do it myself with the blue roll and spray that was located with the stirrers, spoons, napkins etc. After doing the job myself, I went back to the counter to suggest that it wouldn't have been too much to ask for one of the three staff to wipe down the tables for the customers, at which point I was rudely informed they were baristas not waitresses! Clearly our baristas is not very good at her job as my cappuccino was about one third froth and the rest luke warm coffee! Needless to say that, having previously enjoyed many visits to this establishment, we will now never again be giving them our custom. On leaving, you can imagine my thoughts when I witnessed the very same baristas bring out two plated up paninis for another customer. Not waitresses - sorry you can't have it both ways. So...
Read moreI used to drink, eat & work here lots. The staff were chatty, friendly, organised and kept the place very clean.
Today in 2023 it seems no one is managing the place, tables are left messy, crumbs inside and outside chairs. The toilets are vile and don’t look and feel clean. Staff now smoke just outside the actual doorway (really!) - but she did wash her hands.
I remember the previous manager (tall blonde) who had things under control and ran a tight ship. Think she went to Costa nr who really do run a tight ship!
The chap that works here now is very friendly and didn’t leave me waiting. Not all bad but so much worse than it was just over a year ago.

She is the one that has facial piercings and seems to have a really bad attitude, I don't get emails from head office regarding my experience there anymore as I would certainly put in a complaint as somebody like this should not really be working in a customer facing environment as she actually makes the experience a little bit depressing with her "I really can't be bothered attitude".
