Phat Bastrd Burger — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Between the swears and innuendos this is a burger place for people with prepared lectures on the nuances of their favorite IPA beer, or even, those with passionate opions on the newest superhero films. The target audience might even be the type that feel a rush of exhilaration upon saying a bad word.

The burgers themselves, boasting wagyu beef, the lastest craze of "beef afficianados," was of a single consistency. I would imagine this is from baking the beef, assuring the patty is cooked through without charring the surface. A postive for some, no doubt, but remincent of pre-made hamburgers found at fast food resturaunts. It is possible the confidence in the wagyu would result in a light touch of seasoning; though the sheer mass of the patty would not doubt benefit from some herbs. The onion amount would flatter even the most zealous of Allium fans. The hashbrown must be a purely Ulster invention and as an outsider I will refrain from criticizing. However, the overall effect contributes to not only the sheer amount of calories, but the need for one to unhinge their jaw in order to take a bite.

If the only other comparison was fast food, or even if you believe food should be prepared with the same monotous methods of factory distribution, then Phat Bastrd is fine. The delivery driver was top notch, a true credit to...

Well what can I say about this place other than truly epic I have eaten in many cities many towns and many countries hence my shape and this place did not disappoint the quality and freshness of the produce could be savoured in every bite I mean this is not a burger you’ll find in MCS OR BK this is real meat fresh sides amazing sauces served by knowledge full Staff polite and friendly atmosphere it’s not often you find a gem like this in a small seaside town or big city actually lucky for those who can dine here when they choose I will certainly be returning that’s for sure the portions are very pleasing indeed you won’t be hungry and the flavours mouthwatering people say it’s a burger 🍔 well this is more than just a burger it’s an experience you have to have..

If you know food you’ll know this place is one for the big hitters and I recently found out it’s won an award 🥇 I’m not surprised at all.

Was supposed to have a promotion with Uber eats at the time and it didn't go through. Was told to order anyway and it'll come off post-checkout, it didn't. Was also supposed to have free delivery, same exact story. On top of that, FOOD HAD HAIR IN IT.

We rang the restaurant to try and resolve the issue or at least get the money back that we weren't supposed to pay to begin with, and maybe a voucher or ANYTHING for the hairy food; but nope! Instead we got faffed about for weeks and eventually ignored!

In the end proceeded with a charge back from Uber eats and were awarded a full refund. Thank god for PayPal checkout!

Never again. Shame too, cause the burger wasn't bad until we saw the hairs and lack of customer service. Bad...
