It is hard to explain just what a great experience a burger from this place is. Leaving aside how every single one I have ever had has been an explosion of quality ingredients and flavours, Ohannes Burger has really thought about their food. For starters the chips are thick, fresh, and come with a seasoning that is warm and enticing. It's also a crackingly generous portion size. The burger itself is presented in a folded paper holder which means it's almost possible to eat this generously filled chunk of meaty goodness without getting it all over your fingers. The burger is encased in a pretzel bun which, frankly, is a genius move. Rather than being the usual, depressingly bland white bread roll, full of air and soon soggy and disintegrating, the pretzel bun maintains structural integrity and is just so flipping tasty! And once you've grasped the paper hammock, and your mouth has worked its way through the tangy pretzel bun, you are greeted with the generous fillings which have an air of quality which belie their reasonable price. On top of all of this even the sauces are different and considered. Smoked mayo anyone? Yes please! Add in generous sides such as chicken strips with further fab sauces (aioli is a great choice) and a lovely, professional, friendly, relaxed staff in their Long Row branch (Which I've only been into once having usually enjoyed their goods via Deliveroo) I simply cannot recommend them highly enough.
Go! Eat! And you...
Read moreI ordered “The Cheeseburger” with a portion of “Buttermilk Chicken Bites”. The burger comes with seasoned fries (which by the way are SO good!) and their aioli sauce which goes brilliantly with the fries!
The burger itself was quite disappointing. As it’s a gourmet burger, the meat patty is quite thick and because of its thickness, it’s not well seasoned. In fact, it’s very bland. The sauce and caramelised onion combination really do mask the lack of flavour in the meat.
The price-point is fair, £7.50 for the burger with fries with the drink separate. The chicken bites were £3.90, and I’ll be honest they tasted like Costco chicken bites.
Overall, the burger was underwhelming, the chicken bites were as bog standard as can be, but the fries and aioli...
Read moreI came during Thursday lunch time and they had one other customer and 2 delivery orders on the counter.
Since it was my first time it took me 5 minutes to decide what I wanted and I’m a little picky, but I didn’t hold anyone up.
I ended up going for the pulled meat burger meal, and a chicken mania burger.
This pulled meat burger is honestly just so heaven like. The bill came to £20 and honestly it was so worth it for the pulled meat burger. I enjoyed it, I DEVOURED the burger. It was so good
Literally so good. Drooling, thinking about it.
The chicken burger wasn’t really for me sadly.
Would come here again for the beef burger.
Only downside is I waited 15 minutes for...
