Panda Mami in Nottingham has a huge variety of excellent food and is a great place to take the family as there’s something for everyone! I was invited down to try it for myself and was impressed with the quality! #pandamami #nottingham #invited #buffetrestaurant #greatplacestoeat #chinesefood #fyp @Cartwright Communications

Definitely a miss if you’re allergic to anything! First of all I’d like to say the waiters were really lovely, we were given a booth seat even though it was quite busy. My husband is coeliac so we let them know ahead and let the manager know on arrival. The labels on the main dishes were well done and any allergens were listed. Unfortunately most of the food was cold (even fries and freshly cooked seafood). The cold seafood at the start wasn’t very fresh and tasted like it was cooked from frozen. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay for Ā£17.99 just to be given an echo falls!!!! (It’s around Ā£4 a bottle of that!) No where in the description does it say the bottle was echo falls just Chardonnay, would have expected a better wine for that price! The curries were mostly very oily, and all blended into one flavour. The breaded salt and pepper shrimps and shrimps in the paella were unpeeled so we were just crunching on the shells. The desert section was unlabelled for allergens so we were unsure of what my husband could get. We checked with the manager and the chef about a chocolate mousse, and they said it was gluten free however when my husband ate it he bit into a chocolate covered biscuit ball, which obviously had wheat in. Some of their cakes said they were gluten free and some didn’t have any labels on. The chocolate fountain with sweets and marshmallows didn’t have any allergen signs either. The whole place was very much cafeteria vibes with the quality of the food. We paid around Ā£60 for a bottle of echo falls, cold food and an allergic reaction. All presentation, no flavour and lacking soul.

Absolutely Shocking !!! Let me just be clear before I start…. I am not one of those customers that moan about every little thing. I appreciate where I am to the price we’re paying….. So we expect that in a road side cafe, you may get cheap quality bacon for example…. So that’s not something I would complain about…. Especially if you paid Ā£4 for a medium fried breakfast….

Panda Miami….. Terrible experience.

We were first greeted by front of house, who directed us to the payment booth. Once there, we were asked to pay for our meals… 2 adults, 2 children. Ā£95 !!! Even though they advertise Ā£21.99 each. I didn’t like the fact we had read the reviews, food was cold, and now we’re being asked to put almost Ā£100 upfront…. This raised red flags 🚩 to me…. I don’t like paying for something like food, before we’ve eaten. But we went ahead and did this. We were taken to our table and seated…. The restaurant looked empty. It was 4:35pm on A Saturday afternoon…. So we left our tables in search of the ā€˜5* Middle Eastern Hotel Buffet food’ that Panda Miami are advertising….

This restaurant used to be called Cosmo and we visited regularly…. This restaurants food and layout is identical to the previous Cosmo. The food stations are the same. They are all in the same places. And exactly the same choices on offer….. So we all got some food and proceeded to sit and eat….. My first bite was of the ā€˜Corn on the cob’ freshly grilled and was sat on top of the counter on an iron tray. This was stone cold…. So then I tried my ā€˜rib in barbecue sauce’ this was also cold…. Not luke warm, COLD ! Then I tried my ā€˜fish bite’ that was Luke warm, almost cold…. So I immediately left my table and went and spoke to someone. The gentleman I spoke to was understanding and listening to me, when all of a sudden, a huge Chinese guy (around 6ft, I’m 5,2) interrupted me and told me it’s the air conditioning where I’m sat that’s done it. Obviously it wasn’t. I’d been seated 30 seconds !!! Then he told me to take one from the bottom, I told him I had and they are cold ! This was taking place at the food counter as he asked me to show him what was cold. I shown him the 3 items…. The guy was very aggressive and rude. I didn’t like the situation and the way I was being spoken too. As I got back to my table. My wife and children were sat there with faces on them. They immediately told me most of there choices were cold too and didn’t want to eat here !!!! My wife and kids never complain about food !!!!! So I agreed with them and went and asked for the manager. This is where things went from bad to worse. I politely explained it’s my sons 13th birthday, we’ve waited weeks for this restaurant to open, we’re on our first plate of food and none of us wants to eat here as it’s mostly cold. We haven’t eaten anything. Can we have a refund as we would like to leave. We were told to wait whilst someone went to get a manager. After 5 mins of no-one coming to us I asked Mr Aggressive if we could get our refund as we would like to leave. He got right in my face and told me ā€œNo, you got to pay cause you have eatenā€. He was very aggressive, very angry !!!! We explained we’ve had bites out of 4-5 items and spat it back on our plates. We only been here 10 mins…. We want our money back ! He immediately called for security on his radio. At this point my wife and kids were saying Dad can we just leave please !!!! Another guy then approached who also said he was the manager. He was very professional, listened to me, and agreed to a refund. He apologised for the food and asked us to reconsider coming bk. I explained he had no chance due to the other manger angry and aggressive nature towards us. As I said it I pointed to the guy. He saw this and came flying over super aggressive to the point my wife rushed to stand in between us !!!!! The manager directing him to leave and apologising to us once more. I then said that is exactly why we will never come bk. Absolutely shocking experience. Very disappointed in the food. What’s worse, you have to pay 1st….. That’s a...

Please don't be under any illusions that this is anything other than Cosmo with a few stuffed pandas on show and a massive price hike. They havet even bothered to change the dirty cracked chairs. You now have to pay on entry, It cost us £21.99 each and for some bizarre reason they add a 3% service charge on. Don't get me wrong, I always tip when someone serving me, but 3% to basically show us to our table and clear plates away is really pushing it. You basically have no choice but to pay the 3% meaning that in effect you tip staff before you even know if the "service" is any good (it probably would be if it actually existed). We were sat down and then told that we don't even get anyone coming to take drinks orders now, this is something else we have to do ourselves by going online and ordering via a web page we couldn't get to load. After three minutes of waiting to try and order drinks on a useless web page to load (it wasn't even busy so god knows what will happen when its busy!) We gave up and asked if we could order then with someone. A manager came over and basically told us it was our signal that was the problem (I had a full 5g signal and other pages were loading, it's just a cheap useless website) and that if we wanted drinks we needed to order them from the bar ourselves (remind me again what a service charge is for because so far I'm fetching my own food and now am fetching my own drinks). I ordered two cocktails and a pint and it cost me £18 odd. Apparently they add a service charge for you to go fetch your own drinks too! The cocktails were cheap cocktails in a can and at almost £7 a can were a rip off. They did bring them to the table but this was only because I got fed up waiting for the two guys on the bar to decide how they could at least make the overpriced cocktails look attractive (they didn't manage it). Absolute rip off, the food was ok but luke warm, the service was none existent because you basically do everything yourself and there are so many staff hanging around doing nothing that they take your plates and glasses the second you put them down (presumably in an effort to give the impression of the service you pay the service charge for)

Avoid like the plague. We used to go to Cosmo a lot but won't be bothering again....

Me and my brother visited on Sunday the 6th of June I phoned up before leaving to check the times and availability etc I mentioned it was my brother's birthday and he told me to tell my brother to bring in i.d to verify it his birthday for a free meal we made our way to the Restaurant only to be told that he's now not getting the free meal since there is not 4 people this was extremely disappointing to say the least my brother ran home on his birthday to find his i.d only to be turned down by the restaurant this minimum of 4 requirement was not explained over the phone nor did I even ask or expect anything for free but the fact it was offered to use out of good will only to be turned down was not cool and to be frank quite embarrassing and disappointing we had high expectations of this place but left feeling extremely let down we also had multiple issues whilst in there , every time orderd a drink It was not made or given I had to stand up and complain after not recieving my drink 3 times in a row and also at around 9:20 we were approached by a male waiter who abruptly interuped our meal and asked us if it will be our last plate food so that they can begin putting the food away I found this rude and inappropriate as there was still 40 minutes left untill closing time (I was told on the phone food is available to plate up untill 9:45pm) and that closing time is 10:00pm I stated that we intend on going for a second plate and was told ok but when we got up to get our food we noticed alot of things had already been put away and the ice cream machine was turned off and runny and most of the deserts were also put away baring in mind it was only 9:35 at this point it just became an embarrassing and stressful experience my brother was extremely disappointed on his birthday I don't think we will be returning again and will be advising family and friends the...
