Sweet Spot — Restaurant in Nottingham

I had the pleasure of visiting Sweet Spot and honestly, it was a standout experience from start to finish. I went for the mango, blueberry, and Kinder ice cream, and not only were the flavours rich, fresh, and delicious, but the portions were extremely generous — far more than what you’d expect elsewhere. It felt like real value for money.

What really impressed me, though, was the customer service. As a first-time visitor, I was given a complimentary waffle stick, which was such a thoughtful gesture. It’s rare these days to find places that genuinely go the extra mile for their customers, but Sweet Spot clearly does.

Ordered on Uber Eats around 10pm was expecting to have my order with me by 10:30 or less… rang them, told me they’re short on staff and that it would take 15-20 minutes more for it to be ready! Completely understood them. 20 min passed rang again told me my order was sent 10 minutes but my house isn’t even far from the place max 7 minutes by car so just assumed that they’ll knock at anytime… 15 minutes passed and no signal from them rang them once again! Just for them to tell that the driver knocked on my door "apparently" 7 times! And that no one was at the door, so the driver left. I have called 2 times wouldn’t I stay at my door and wait for my order hum, then only for them to say "oh then you have to wait another 30 minutes" I refused as the place was closing anyways. Really upset...

I've been wanted to try this place for ages and I really wanted to like this it but sadly when we visited today, there was very little to like.

Firstly, we went in for ice cream but we were told the freezer was broken so they only had whipped ice-cream. We ordered two cones but it really was very poor quality and it did not taste nice at all.

Considering this is a dessert restaurant for families, the music was very inappropriate with the f word being used multiple times in several songs. Luckily our five year old son was distracted and didn't pick up on this.

Lastly, there was an electric fly-zapper within easy reach of young children. Something like this should be fixed to a wall and high up well at of reach.
